Word is that the Baker deal is waiting on the Bolton trade to get done. Pick 3 is on the table but Tigers only able to offer pick 20 in return at this stage. Eagles want Freos pick 10 or 11 back so that it’s 3 for Baker and 10 or 11.

West Coast would be crazy to give up an awesome pick 3 for Baker... when they have other picks that are ample.

They are not that stupid!

Then they will trade Barass to Hawthorn for pick 33 & Hawthorn future 1st.
Richmond get either 12 or 14 for Baker.

From what I've heard Baker and Freo are on good terms. He was very impressed with your presentation, it's just that he's a West Coast fan, and his best mate has just gone there. I don't think you're out of the picture if Matt Clarke doesn't wake up from his potato-gorging stupor.

I don't think he'll do a backflip now but I was a bit surprised that he had 3 pretty big trades to complete and all he managed to do week 1 was push a stack of chips over to Brisbane. Chips that may have, well, you know, helped complete 3 big trades?

Yeah West Coast is building its entire draft strategy around Bo Allan

The talk that Hawthorn trading 14 to Carlton is some major stuff up from West Coast is bizarre. So they can no longer get pick 14 and then pay overs for an uncontracted Baker? Oh no!

Still looks like an easy trade for 26 to me with West Coast maybe throwing in a future 3rd as a sweetener after Richmond kick up a stink.

Absolutely wasn’t a stuff up from West Coast.

As RFC fans we can’t applaud seeking more for Rioli and Bolton but see West Coast doing the same thing (and rightfully so imo) for Barrass on the basis that it makes any trade for Baker more difficult.

More concerning is if Matty Clarke put all his eggs in the basket of 14 being the centerpiece of a Baker deal when he didn’t own the pick.
