Perhaps if people who twitter (I don't:oops:) could tweet like crazy for everyone to follow Leigh Mathews instructions only, if they want him on the board..

Emphasize that we must trust Leigh in this matter....NO-ONE ELSE.

Time to put a signature for a worthy cause.

If you mean for me to tweet, I can assure you I'm safer behind the computer!!

Have no clue whatsoever how to do tweets....and anyway, I have an old persons phone..its txts, sets reminders, but thats about it...doesn't even have a camera, let alone anything fancy like you young things have.

I've put a signature on my bigfooty profile MM for the first time.
Wherever I post, I'll make Pinkie's agenda public.

My issue: What about the guy/girl that gets home from work tonight, scans their email, thinks .. " what's this.. hmm.. this Pinskier guy likes Leigh Matthews.. , .. apparently wants change... current board are knobs.... sounds like a reasonable bloke... ".
.

I definitely think that engaging with him and calling him out for what he is is a positive thing. He's not a troll trying to have a bit of fun, he's a genuine person with real interests that seem to be out of touch with just about all members and supporters.

The more obvious and public this is made, the better, I feel.

Just read the email from the Dr and I'm extremely angry re this. Seems as though he is trying to associate himself with Leigh, the jumper issue, the fitzroy factor in order to win favour, especially with the Melbourne supporters. This is horrible as instead of uniting us all as one club it, in my opinion, tries to divide us and he can accept no credit for any of it. I'm not on facebook but have family members who are. Will certainly be suggesting they start posting on Brisbane Lions facebook re this and getting the message across re Leigh's Tweet.

Concern is that the Dr will receive X amount of proxy votes before others have an opportunity to send out their material. Is there a time line in which candidates have to send out their info before the EGM...ie two weeks, one week??

Very interesting and scary that the Dr is attempting to get in quick and get the proxy votes.

This is getting a really bad smell to all of this.

The Dr Pinskier method of obtaining proxies is the AFL's online equivalent of a Nigerian email scam.

Let's hope that only a small portion of the voting fan base falls for it.

Two-thirds of respondents were from Queensland.

Can I just say that I think it's great that 33% of those offering feedback are Victorians. I mean, I complain about the Vic media and bias about the (Brisbane) Lions, but Fitzroy was ripped away from a bunch of fans and brought up here and they still have very decent sway in this uprising.

Rock on.

United we stand, divided we fall. We are all one club.

As bad as it is, I still think its something that not many members will worry about until the week of the EGM. If leigh gets coverage on the AFL website there is a good chance things will work out.

All Brisbane Lions members keen to support the Restore The Lions Pride agenda of change:
  • Putting Club greats like Leigh Matthews on the board
  • Putting the original Lions Lion back on the Guernsey
  • Putting the feuding incumbent directors out into the street where they threw Vossy
Should either attend the EGM on November 13 where we'll make it happen or if they can't make it, fill out and return this proxy form to ensure their voice is heard.

Someones ears were burning.

Quick question Henry Pinskier, where'd you get my email?

So Henry Pinskier, what happens if God forbid you yourself aren't able to make it to the EGM? What happens to people's proxies then?

The gutless wonder won't answer questions..

Fancy going through life being known as a nasty shit stirrer and a troublemaker..

..how awful that must feel, not being liked and having to wonder if people are really your friends or just after something you can do for them..

Voters beware of imposters, if you support my views , your proxies MUST go to PAUL WILLIAMS 62 Kingfisher Rd, Mt Cotton 4165 Thank you.

Is it possible that Angus's apparent about face re: the EGM and his sudden, incongruent confidence about the board vote could have been the consequence of a recent, secret alliance with Dr P?

Did the timing of that particular change of tone roughly correspond with the sudden appearance of 'Restore The Lions Pride'?

That would certainly explain the easy acquisition of member data....

We're so close Henry, almost as close as Ryan Harwood was to snapping that winning goal in the dying moments against Geelong in Rd 23 - don't you think?

Reading up on the Anti Spam Act 2003 now.

I own a domain name which I use for my email purposes, and the address that I originally received these unsolicited messages at was only ever used for the Brisbane Lions. All other services and businesses get their own address (facebook@domain, linkedin@domain, rah rah).

I unsubscribed that email address earlier this morning, and then sent a reply asking how my address was obtained. This was sent from my personal email address, and referenced the other one.
I got what appears to be the generic four paragraph reply within half an hour, so I responded with several reasons why that would be incorrect, and asked him/them to explain themselves one more time.

I've not had a response yet. Though what I do find interesting is my personal email address just got sent the latest proxy EGM email. I most certainly didn't sign up for that at all, especially not with the address I sent an email asking about the legitimacy of getting my other email address.

If Henry Pinskier is actually on this forum - I'm still awaiting your reply. If I don't get a response in 24 hours, it's being reported to ACMA.

If that's the case, then they shouldn't be sending reply emails that say:
We created an extensive email list - with the help of our IT partners - from publicly available online sources Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, online forums, Google, supporter groups and websites.
That would still be incorrect, and dishonest. I also find the inclusion of the info about the Collingwood supporters telling them 'where to shove' their cause rather odd, it presents as a poor attempt to gather sympathy.

I am getting fed up with all this bunkum.

With this post, I am appealing for either one of two things..

a) If the poster Henry Pinskier is a troll, please stop. You were funny for 5 minutes, but you are now doing more harm than you could imagine.

b) If the poster Henry Pinskier is not a troll, then FFS just answer the questions like an adult.
