so far we’re heavily linked to

Perryman
Richards
Cumming
Pickett
Luko

I’m not particularly sold on cumming as a fit for us , we’re going to have a lot of players jockeying for his position already.

Wing half back could look like this

Lorenz (centre) Burgoyne
Farrell Alir perryman
L Evans bzt Bergman

Bench / emerg - jones Burton with Montgomery and Rome Burgoyne also added to list.

I think oerryman and Richard’s are highly likely to land here. Pickett is going to go down to the wire at my guess. I suspect luko chooses crows as they’ll throw a world of promises and money at him to get him where he’s going to have to fight for his position here.

I can’t see a spot for Richards if we manage to land Pickett. Feels like he is the back up (but more likely) option.
I would still be throwing a decent deal and lukosious. He will fill a hole in the list as Dixon retires.

If we landed Pickett no doubt our starting smalls would be Pickett Rioli and spp, but Richard’s could very easily find himself on the bench or getting games when Rioli misses games, or Pickett gets the inevitable 10 game ban.

If Pickett requests a trade I expect it to be to WA rather than Port. That's not to say Port aren't interested because they definitely are.

I'll be surprised if Perryman doesn't land at Port. Cumming I expect to get to the Crows.

Houston all will depend on price but I think a deal will get done for him to get to a Victorian club. If they acquire a "big name" via trade it will be Luko, and I suspect that'll be tied in to any Houston deal if it eventuates.

Why Pickett to WA?

Perryman as a free agent is a massive win if we get him in the off season.
Giving up a 3rd or 4th for Joe Richards is worth it.

After that, if we get good value for Houston, that will also be a win.

If we can wangle other deals for the players who want to leave like Soldo into the deal or grab some draft capital or players, then so be it.

I mean Perryman, Pickett and Lukosius would be a crazy off season no matter which way you look at it.

Whately on SEN:

It's just been expressed as homesickness at this stage, but if a formal trade request is lodged, it's South Australia for Pickett.

My gut feel says Pickett more likely next year.
If I remember correctly he was homesick last year and got convinced to stay. From what I can tell Peter Rhode, his manager is pretty average at serving the players requests and is more keen to maintain the status quo and not rock the boat (unsurprising given some of his work while looking after Ports list).
This means its really going to be up to Kossi to be firm in making the call, which I suspect is not in his personality, so it may take longer to occur.

TBH - I'd be advising him to go to a new management stable.

Dunkley was already out the picture when JHF appeared. Jack Graham was the one who was proverbially left at the alter when JHF decided he wanted to return home.

Poor Jack, must have been disappointing, but that’s business.

Also, Pickett, SPP and Rioli we could get away with Mitch and Rat as our two talls .

Saying that, it would be interesting to see Rioli and Pickett work together, their both hunters

Yep I would have our starting forward line as
HF: SPP Marshall/Rat Rioli
FF: Pickett Georgiades JHF/Rozee/Butters
I: DBJ

I said last week Pickett wants to return and wear his uncles jumper.
Luko prefers Port over the Cows due to Rozee and Carr.
Melbourne clubs enquiring about Sinn and Williams.
Clurey and Soldo gone.
Lord not going anywhere
Marshall wait and see
Looking forward to seeing my source tonight.

Not just that, but hes working with Melbourne to convince Pickett to stay idf this is to be beleived
ill be disappointed if we cant get him

be understandable if they were on the verge of a flag but they are on the verge of a rebuild with some terrible culture, so we hold all the aces in terms of what we can offer both on and off the field.

We should make an offer to him that is impossible not to accept.

The issue as I see it is Rhode doesnt have the killer instinct to make it happen and is more likely to pander to his mates.
Without getting into specific I know for a fact he hasnt always been across the rules or wanted to rock the boat etc when he was footy manager so I cant see that changing as a player manager.

QUOTE: Pickett detailed to Goodwin how he and his partner were missing family and friends in South Australia.

He became a father for the first time in April and is believed to have told his coach he was finding it difficult so far away from his family, sparking fears that he could ask for a trade.
