Byrne-Jones is way too underrated on this board. 23 goals and 23 assists this season. A club high 46 goal contributions.

Also Powell-Pepper is back next season. We don't need him.
True I forgot about Powell-Pepper.

ANB plays a slightly different role to DBJ. He works up the field more and gets more involved in general play which is reflected in his higher disposals, tackles, rebound 50s and inside 50 numbers. None of our current small/medium forwards offer this.

in saying this - I would not include him in a trade for Houston. At most we should be paying an early third round pick for a guy turning 29 next season.

I hope this bloke is Melbourne's list manager, because if he is and that's the offer it means Houston will still be at Port next year, which would be a great outcome.

with so many guys potentially wanting out at Melbourne, I have no ****en idea why they would even contemplate trading for Houston, knowing how much it’s gonna take to get it done.

They’re going to be potentially entering a rebuild without multiple first rounders if they get Houston.

You keyboard Adrian Dodoros need to stop overhyping your players.

It’s embarrassing.
Cal Twomey has put Dan’s value at two first rounders - realistically meaning two picks in the low teens. Most commentators agree that a highly consistent, AA, leadership group member with multiple years left to run on a contract, top 2-3 player at the club would be worth this.

ANB is having a great season and would be a handy pick up but can’t be worth much more than a second rounder or early third. What would you guys offer for DBJ or SPP? ANB is worth marginally more than either of those two.

So if it was Dan for ANB, Melbourne would have to throw in a first rounder in the teens at least.

Melbourne sounds like a shit hole of a club atm

Houston can do better
It's ironic. They named themselves after the hordes of hell, have shady board members, and are sponsored by a big bank.

All in all, I think the time has come to nuke Melbourne for the sake of our game.

How the **** is ANB worth more than Powell-Pepper? I wouldn't trade Powell-Pepper for two ANB's.

This post overrates that bloke massively. 6 and ANB for Houston would be the absolute minimum. And even then I wouldn't be happy about it.

ANB + Pick 6
For
Houston

Schulz we can’t have another argument, well I can’t keep losing them, besides I think we are on the same page. Dan is worth more than what the Melbourne player suggested and ANB is worth a whole lot less.

ANB is having a career best season and was the number one general forward as per champion data earlier this year. Pep is coming off a knee recon. Without the knee you’re absolutely correct.

ANB isn’t a need for us and doesn’t seem like the crows or port are that keen either. So late second rounder territory.

And you’re right it would be Dan and pick six minimum not just a first rounder.

Guys please don't get excited about this.

Travis Boak at 40 years old is basically putting the same numbers as Alex Neal-Bullen in his career best year at 29 years old lmao.
