The crows have done that with Welsh, heaps of noise around him going to the crows.

Not as much for Barett.

who cares if we advertise that, no clubs are going to take them as a bolter 'just to make us pay up'.
Not now that Dodo is gone

our main issue is, who is second ruck when sweet goes to the bench?

the most likley strucure up forward is: Luko, MG then one of marshal or lord.

Lord would be our best back up ruck (albeit, not a good one), but donut's plays marshall ahead of him every day of the week.

Esava is not a forward, i doubt he plays there. And finlayson is probably behind the others aforementioned (however is the best second ruck). Ivan is SANFL bound, two rucks never work, so i doubt we do that.

This issue will always exist until we draft a Gerreyn or West. Just don't see Marshall going on for too long and I don't see the talent in Lord that others do. At best he is a back up imo, will never have faith in him until he fixes that set shot kicking technique.

Is Gerreyn a forward primarily and secondary a ruck, or a primary ruck secondary forward?

He has been a ruck first forward second at u18 level, but I don’t think that’s where he makes it at afl. Looks very much to me like a Brendan lade type. Will be a very big solid forward with a booming kick and great mark that can take ruck contests and has deft touch with his taps. He is the one I want the most from this draft now. Hopefully with our second pick.

Think more ruck that can always play forward. But the way I see him as a Rowan Marshall, both athletically and style of play. I would say Rowan is 50/50 tbh and Gerreyn could become that.

I was surprised that Travaglia's sprint and agility numbers were a bit down. Maybe he takes a bit to get going and then he's off and running, so to speak.

Great stats for Hannaford and perhaps the time trial is a red flag but if he didn't work that hard on it and can improve that in the AFL, then he will be a steal. I like him anyway.

Bo Allan also has super good stats there. I didn't know what his time trail was so to be within striking distance of the best is really good considering the power and speed that he has.

I thought Jagga would have had better stats as well but he is impressive overall and a bit like Rozee knows how to make room for himself.

I haven't looked too much into Lombard but what I've seen I like and the stats back it up.

Beginning to be swayed to Grerreyn in a big way watching video over and over.

aerobic capacity the worry still but a preseason in a professional environment might be all he needs.

Don't see him in Ruck at afl level but forward it is there.

He's actually strong ruck craft tbh. He can easily be a primary forward and 2nd ruck at the very least but yeah with the right development I can see him moulding into a Rowan Marshall type. Goes without saying that a lot needs to go right for these draftees to reach their ceiling

Been on this for about 2 years now. Not surprising we haven't tried it
Lack of foresight from the coaches as usual. They had the lead in to the 2023 finals series to give it a go with Mckenzie's body ****ed, and Jezza out of form up front. Instead they chose to play him sub, and play the corpse of Mckenzie against Giants at home.

That's the way I see him as well.

It will be interesting if we burn our second or third pick on him as that is usually not the done thing with our drafting team.

Sorry Macca19 i think it was Josh Sinn that we gave up a lot for to go up a few spots. My memory can be shite on occasion

We gave up a future 2nd to go up 2 spots

The thing about about Finlayson is that he'd be a good AFL forward if he wasn't the worst set shot in the AFL
Findlayson is a highly talented player but defintely a confidence player. He was a major catalyst to winning games until he fell off the map (probably mainly due to his home situation). We have been unlucky with our key forwards (Marshall's concussion issues).

I know we all questioned the sanity of trading Wingard and Polec for magic beans- our List Management proved to be wise and inspired.

I know we have questioned the sanity of letting players players go for under but I believe our willingness to be the nice guys at the draft table was fundamental to being able to land Horne-Francis- our List Management proved itself again.

However, Atkins and McEntee on the list, putting in jeopardy getting Rome onto our list and the capitulation at the trade table over Houston makes me think our List Management has jumped the shark. We will know in about 8 days.

What part of trading our most talented player for Xavier Duursma and Ryan Burton proved to be 'wise and inspired'?
