Let's say Dan was to go to Carlton

Would a deal like Top 8 pick (Carlton need to find a way to get this), a F2 + Young + Lemmey be something we take a look at doing? I don't know if some consider that overs or unders but I think that's something that gets us a pick and also give us some much needed depth in Key Position stocks.

Retirements:
Dixon
McKenzie

Delist:
McEntee
FEvans*
Narkle*
Kyle Marshall
Tom McCallum

*These 2 are UFAs so my preference would be we don't announce them as part of initial delistings and hope another club offers a deal and we get 3rd round compensations

Trade Out:
Houston
Clurey
Soldo
Williams

Trade In:
Richards
Lukosius
Perryman (UFA)
Young

Draft:
Barrett
Montgomery
Burgoyne
Francou
Top 8 pick (from Houston trade)
2nd round pick

Upgrade to active list:
SPP

If Boak retires, which only happens if we win a flag, then Narkle signs on.

I would call that an amazing trade window if we can pull it off

Apparently Dimma didn’t hold back in his exit interviews with the players & took particular aim at Luko & Rosas for different reasons.

You would have to be a brave man to bet against Dimma turning the Suns around, I think he’ll take them to the 8 next year.

Boy o boy

The below quote picks up on the theme. It sounds like Scully has had a bunsen burner lit under him, rather than told he's gone (unless something has changed).

He's not 'definitely' gone. But let's just say he knows his future is borderline at best.

FWIW another player had a similar hard discussion with the club where it was put to him he had to work harder rather than relying on natural ability, so far it seems to be working for that player....

While I dont get to see much SANFL it feels likeScully is someone we want to persist with, so I am really hoping this is another case of tough love to help himunderstand what is required.

Does the club have any interest in Matthew Owies? Carlton can't fit him under their cap (lol). 60 goals in the last two years.

Possible bargain but will there will likely be other clubs sniffing around.

Nah. Not a bad player, but he plays more like a small tall forward, and we need more groundball presence inside 50.

I'd say Dixon will only play on if ken is still there.
If we are serious Dixon is gone at the end of the season. To keep Dixon and possibly toss Scully just seems the most bizarre thing I have read in the past 6 months…

Kicks goals so doesn't fit our requirements for a small forward.

That sounds a little more likely.

People talk about getting Lemmey but he's just a year older version of Scully. Same queries in his draft year about competitiveness and consistency.

Then throw in Lukosius if we are into him ... how many of those types do you want in key positions?

The Giants have confirmed Isaac Cumming will depart as a free agent in the first off-season domino to fall for the club following its straight-sets finals exit. SEN’s Sam Edmund first reported Cumming had told the Giants of his desire to move to one of the South Australian sides in 2025.
It’s believed the 26-year old hasn’t specified whether he intends to sign with the Crows or Power, with both teams having offered four-year deals.

We could have drafted Lemmey for nothing

Aren't Lemmey and Scully the same age?

And we're still persisting with trying Scully as a forward, while Carlton have already pulled the "maybe you should try being a defender" move with Lemmey.
