Yeh, Swans are hopeless. A disaster.

I wish my team was so devoid of tradeable assets... :)

The reigning premiers adding Tippett would be rude and terrifying.
But seriously what would Adelaide ask for?

These guys are paid to report on the AFL right?

Or are they paid to have beers with a bunch of corporate types, talk to them about stuff and take the scraps they are fed?
Hutchy was correct about Sydney bottoming out due to being a team of veterans...

Ive seen non of Greenwood, what sort of player is he? much upside?
Hard, inside type, big tank, limited disposal skills. Nice kick when he has time but rushes it a bit. Had ankle problems most of the year and would likely have added more games in 2012 to his total of 46 had it not been for that. Scott likes him and he is required apparently.

Surely you can't afford Tippett after keeping Cloke. You'd be asking him to accept $300k or so when he just turned down $800k from Adelaide. It was being reported this morning that Lynch was your back up plan in the case of not getting Tippett, and all indications since seem to be that it's between the Suns and Swans for Tippett.

I'm not too sure how much we could offer him, but if Wellingham and Dawes both go, that would free up around 450-500k. Dane Swan onto veterans list which adds another 100k we can use. Looks like we will delist Cameron Wood, who would be on around 200k. If all goes to plan, we could have around 700k to throw at Tippett.

I'm not sure what the Swans can offer Adelaide either, especially if we are able to offer picks 17 & 18 (if Wellingham goes to WC). I suppose GC are in the box seat if it's about money and homesickness though.

From memory in and under, disposal can be a bit iffy. Prefer to keep Jed as he has been showing a bit of silk in the middle
I think Jed will play more outside Mitchell will be our key inside mid but they are still years away from playing at the top level consistantly. Whereas Greenwood just needs the oppurtunity has the body for it

Seems trading for tradings sake though when we have Parker to step into Bolton's shoes if he retires.

Is Jed even showing anything in the Ressies? Im not sure what his currency would be?

I would be surprised as well as most football followers if North got pick 17 for a bloke that cant crack a senior game.
Effectively Collingwood swap Wellingham for Pederson.... LOL come on
Yeah I know. I'm just passing on what others have said. I myself don't really rate Pedersen as he was extremely poor this season in the games he did play. Which is why I'm surprised he actually has interest from Collingwood.

Now he isn't injured he has strung 6 or so weeks at end of this year that show he is definitely worth keeping in my opinion. Elite kick and very skillful in the middle

I am very surprised as we just got ourselves the big Q-Stick who will play the forward/ruck role.

Pedersen would not get a game.

Seriously? Grundy + Pick 22 Id hate to lose a key defender with an injury next year if we traded grundy

Tippett gets his coin and also gives Sydney a much needed KPF (Reid not exactly proven yet). Adelaide gets a local defender who will give them much needed experience. Someone like LRT will replace Grundy down back.

Oh, and it wouldn't be pick 22. It would be a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

I hadn't looked at free agency much but just checked out the compo bands. Wow. Surely the Saints will be out of the free agent market now if they're looking at a freebie 1st for losing Goddard?

The NFL has compensation picks for free agency, all of which come at the end of the round in rounds 3-7. Because free agency continues throughout the year, picks are rewarded in review after the season in which players have signed and it's based on salary as well as playing time and postseason honours for the player on their new team. Gain and lose an equal amount of players but the losses are of greater value? 7th round pick only.

You are spot on Saints are only now looking for trading for players, or upgrading and swapping of picks. We won't be taking any Free Agency as we have a lock on Pick 13 and our deals are based on that.
