Medical sub is effectively dropped. Bevo then tried to one up Tom morris by naming Hunter in the side only for him to then get dropped to medical sub before the game. Hunter only played because Johannisen got injured in the warm up. Hunter shouldn't have been listed in the 22 and then been named as the sub an hour before the game like every other team does

The teams are not known until one hour before the game and even then there can be later changes in some cases. Morris was stating as fact that Hunter would not play and he was wrong. This is the issue with pre-emptive reporting.
Reporting is like being a scoreboard attendant. You don’t put up the score until it is official, or how long has elapsed until that time has elapsed etc etc.
If Tom Morris reported it as likely or possible, maybe fair enough, maybe not. Still stupid imo even if those things were true because he is burning bridges over a story that has little overall interest.
First of all, journos deserve to be called out on stuff they get wrong from "sources", they should not have free reign to type anything. I get that sentiment.
However Bevo just absolutely blasted a guy and really went hard at the individual, not the issue. He could have challenged the issue a lot better and not made it an aggressive personal attack.
He'll be fined IMO. Journos are sketchy, but you can't be going after someone like that as the head coach in a post game press conference.
