It ain’t even about that.

He’s just taking shots at a bloke who two games in a row is releasing speculative bullshit about internal conflict in regards to selection.

Good to see Tom’s private Dee supporting school mates are all on here defending the hack.

Speculative bullshit?

He was bang on the money 😂 do you think Bevo would have been melty if Morris was wrong? Not a chance. He'd have sat on his high horse and made a big deal about how inaccurate Morris is.

The fact he got under his skin so much, plus the fact that you know Hunter was sub until Johannisen hurt himself in the warm up, proves Morris' info was right. No speculation. Just a good source.

Every journo is a something supporter. Who cares.
Also if the Dogs are so brittle they can be "thrown in to turmoil" by a complete light weight like Tom Morris then the club must be made of wet paper bags.

Even Bont during the week talking about the song thing was as lame AF.

Lol Bont was asked the song question, for the 100th time. Media clearly wanted the build up. Let’s not go there Hayward.

This is a Bulldogs problem rather than a Beveridge problem. Their media department has let the coaches' personality become overpowered to the point of omnipotence. Instead of listening to media managers and PR professionals he's running his own race. Ironically given he's the coach he's put himself before the good of the team. Clean out the media team and hire actual PR experts that Beveridge might actually entertain being counselled by. It's obvious he neither respects nor listens to whoever the club currently has in place.

Bevo does make a point shouldn't Morris have rung the club first to confirm or deny the leak instead of going straight to the press? a professtional journlist would have done that imo
And when he rings them up and they deny it then what? Journalists have to back sources sometimes. How often is a journalist’s story denied and later proven correct. Sometimes they need to run the story of they believe it is true, he did that and he was right.

It’s hilarious the people calling for suspensions.

How soft have we become when a coach can’t call out some dweeb journo giving him the shits?

Moronic droolers like Tom Morris and Tom Browne are lucky they weren’t interviewing coaches 30 years ago.
Imagine Barrass in full flight!

Tom’s source is 100% he leaked the grand final news as well

Bevo just sooking because Tom is obviously good at his job

Honestly would be embarrassed if our coach reacted like that after a loss.

You want your leaders to be calm under pressure & that was a pathetic melt that will be forever remembered.

Is this the beginning of the end for Beveridge? Still thinking of last year...

Brad Scott embarrassed North for years with his sooking and melts post match and he didn't even come close to this.

Not sure it requires a punishment, it's just a hilarious reflection on the new meltiest coach in the league.

The story as reported was literally shown to be incorrect by events.

What event, Hunter not being in the starting 22? Until Johannason injured himself in the warm-up and he was brought in as a late change?

Or the event where Luke Beveridge said "we went in with a plan, we had some late stuff go on, with JJ unfortunately going out in the warm-up, everything other than that was according to plan from the Sunday, somehow you found out about it again..."

Which of those events was it?

People defending Bevo are missing the point - he didn't even give Morris right of reply...he just yelled at him for 3 minutes straight and then walked out. That's what angry children do, not highly paid professionals that are the face of a reputable sporting organization.

It's absolute semantics whether or not Morris was right or not - which he was in the end given Hunter did get dropped, and Bevo admitted they planned this on the Sunday, and it got leaked. What matters, is that on national tv, during a live conference, an adult behaved like a toddler over the most inauspicious thing you could think of - team selection. It's not like Morris leaked his home address...he got info, and used that info to release a story once his source inside the Dogs gave it to him. That's journalism. Yeah it might not be that pretty or even upstanding, but there is far worse that has been leaked in our game before - the Adam Treloar mental health incident that got leaked and Bevo blew up about, was a good example of something being worth reacting to.

What's even more crazy, is that he obviously spent an inordinate amount of time around this Hunter issue...whilst repeating the same mistakes he made in the Grand Final last year...and letting Petracca run around on his own doing as he pleased. It's deflection at its finest, and to be honest, it's not an issue that he's going to be able to play the martyr over - because it's so f*cking inconsequential lol.

How good is it though?!

It's classic bully behaviour by Bevo and the league needs to stamp it out.

No issues with a coach querying the practices of a journo if there is legitimate muck taking. Coaches arent perfect and it's a high pressure job.

But,

Bevo looks like he has issues.

Also, reporting on possible player ins and outs is hardly new. If a journo gets it wrong just sit back and let them look silly. No need to go off the deep end.
