I'm gonna but a digital membership (and a Tassie one) cos its a bit cheaper.
I switched to digital. But it’s a mystery to me how a NM digi membership, which includes Kayo, could be $150+ cheaper than just having a Kayo subscription, and still financially benefit the club.

Maybe its something to do with the exclusive rights Kayo/Fox get to broadcast games.

It’s great that the club can offer that deal. After paying for AFL gold membership I’m not also paying for digital membership, each to their own but we’ve got other things to spend our money on and have to put a limit on footy spending*.

*Limit suspended temporarily if someone’s team wins a flag.

So perhaps the best 22/23 iteration tomorrow will be something like:

Goater - Pink - Dawson
Sheezel - Chom - McKercher

Stephens - Wardlaw - Tucker
Xerri - LDU - Phillips

Sleevo - Sellers - Simpkin
Curtis - Larkey - Bull

INT: Powell - Laz - Shiels - Fisher - Greenwood

TBH, I actually don't mind that backline at all. It's definitely the best we can put together imo. It's insanely naturally talented.

Goater is just turning into a ridiculously large specimen these days, in another 2 pre-seasons he will be a pseudo CHB imo.

I'm firmly in the "just play Dawson" (if that is Will you are talking about) camp. He looks every bit as capable of all the other options at the moment as the third defender and has an immeasurably higher ceiling than the others.

no Duursma ? Love to see George have a run too.

Shame about all of Archer's injuries because he doesn't really have the talent to be super patient with him but he's so dedicated and it's clear he has the stuff to be a role player at AFL level.
I think we can afford to be patient with Archer this year, the defence is very much a work in progress and he's not really competing with anyone for that small lockdown defender role so there's a spot there if he can get his body right. However given it's the last year of his contract he will need to prove that he's overcome his injuries in order to earn an extension.

As I said previously I am sure I read it was initially a 7 period match.

I think they may have changed it to proper best 23/24 players over 4 qrts. Then maybe a vfl hit out for players that miss and vfl players on the weekend.
I interpret it as a 4 quarter match plus scenarios with an extended bench for both teams (probably 30 players a side) Don’t think we’ll see a version of the 2’s go at it unfortunately

Can’t wait for tomorrow to see a live game. The last one was at Optus so I’m looking forward to seeing the future.
