Like most Carlton supporters, I am a big fan of Kennedy and sad to see him go but understanding of his want to play more midfield minutes. Our midfield was too one-paced when trying to accommodate him, Cripps and Hewett. Disappointed he didn't get one more game to get to 100 Carlton games. All the best to him at the Doggies. Given their midfield, I am surprised that they were the club to get him.

We don't have Cripps/Hewett types outside of Libba who is mid 30s and 1 head knock away form serious trouble,

Kennedy's overhead ability at half forward will make him a very valuable pick up

Kennedy can play but his type's stocks are in the basement right now because most of the best clubs now play 0-1 slow midfielders and there's a lot of good slow midfielders out there. If he goes it will be for an early third rounder at best.

Pick 38, used to call those early thirds ... these days it's a late second, or even mid second. Pretty spot on. Should have traded him to Gold Coast, could have got a first rounder.

More like Nick Daicos that has good speed, not amazing, but has really good agility

Nick is an improved version of Walsh in that regard, I just don't have anyone else to compare him to. He's faster than Andy Brayshaw but not as fast as Hayden Young for example - this is just to the eye, I don't have stats to support that lol

Not 2023 Walsh, but he is quick - Nick is probably still quicker I just can’t find the right comparison for Walsh

Coniglio might be a better comparison
