Nicks saying the players aren't being "combative" enough, and that he tried to open the game up after being 4 goals down but it was like "petrol on a fire".

He's lost 'em.

So...... players doing an all out high pressure all out attack game plan that gets us 4 goals up....twice, only for Nicks to try and slow it down, the swans come roaring back and hit the front, and then he tried to open the game up again.

Does he listen to himself?

Is anyone asking him why he kept Keane on Amartey who had never kicked more than 4 before tonight?

Nicks, subs out Curtin for having multiple goals kicked on him. Doesn't treat Keane the same way in the identical situation. How do we think this sits with Curtin? Thats got to sting.

Yep. MRB37 posted this in the other thread.

Remember when Trigg wouldn't leave cause he had to stay for the transition to Adelaide Oval? Literally history repeating except swap Adelaide oval for Thebarton

I just want someone to ask a question about his coaching. So he can't have the out that the players just need to work harder, or be more combative.

The Adelaide media are soft. Probably because they want access to the players and officials in a small media market. Its not like Victoria where if one team goes to ground, 9 more exist to fill the void.

I genuinely don't understand where the club goes from here.

I get all the sack the coach etc, and i think he will be sacked, but this is a pretty deep hole they've dug.
I think that's what hurts the most. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing to even indicate things might get slightly better.

We are now an embarrassment of the league. Everyone can see it except the losers running the club. Nothing to see here.

27 years since the last premiership and we are rudderless, homeless, fractured and devoid of potential. How is it that such a strongly supported club can wallow in absolute mediocrity. Fair dinkum I’m exhausted.
They are lucky they have thousands of happy clappers who are obviously easily satisfied or easily hoodwinked. They won't be around forever and kids don't barrack for losers.

Its literally a gulp moment

There will ( or should but wont) be some very hard truths spoken over the next few days

I dont know how they will jump

you would think tonight they are going to be having a crisis meeting tonight so its Nicks, Kellly, Olsen and probably Roo.

Whats the narrative here if they are going to save Nick's career.

How do you explain to the fans that this is all part of the plan
