Well I don’t know what happened to my other reply. I would have hoped a Mod didn’t delete it without explanation. Anyway I’m not going to type it all again but give you the summary.

The initial discussion was about Nicks changing our gameplan over preseason, from attack to defensive. A fundamental change.

Wayne criticised the gameplan and coaching at the start of the season.

Now he’s trying to ignore that and say coaches change the gameplan every 6 weeks, what’s he’s describing are tweaks in game plans for match ups etc and have nothing to do with what Nicks did last preseason and the beginning of the season. He also can’t hide from his own posts which we’ve bumped some of today.

I think he got a bit melodramatic in his reply and it was deleted

Our whole preseason was based around this defensive gameplan, had nothing to do with injuries, they are just a cop out.

I shared with you what the Crows official told me at the time, that we changed the gameplan because we couldn’t defend our attacking one, I pointed out we had the 9th best defence so it wasn’t as bad and didn’t justify their reaction.

So Carmo and WaynesWorld19 I know you love your stats, hiding behind the inexperience of our defence and Wayne’s flip flopping on his opinion of Nicks coaching at the time.

First 4 rounds of the year when we went 0-4 and clearly played a more defensive slower ball movement game.

We averaged 75.75 against and 57 for.

Next 5 games when we freed up the players and played more attacking, taking out the Roos smashing just to show I’m not trying to up the data, we went 2 wins against finalists, 1 draw against the eventual premiers and 2 losses by a combined 7 points.

We averaged 78.4 against and 83.4 for.

We conceded 3 more points but a whopping 26 extra points for per game.

Quite a contrast not as a result in change in personnel and experience but Nicks changing the gameplan back to more attacking and changing the vanilla midfield mix.

OK, but I would still say that's tweaks, or tactics, rather than changes to the game plan in the sense that's being discussed here (every six weeks as other teams work it out).

This discussion is getting a bit toxic though, so maybe I'll leave it at that.
