You may be right, but I think the alternative is worse. Do you really want people like some posters on here who are highly emotive, often irrational and wound up in hysteria, voting whole boards in and out? It would be like a revolving door with no chance of stability and therefore no chance of success. Having said that, I don't think it would hurt to refresh some of our board.
There would need to be checks and balances around it so it wasn’t purely a popularity contest (Mods for Chairman?!) but I don’t think our current structure is best practice for a member-based organisation or optimal for us.

I run a $150m company and probably couldn't run the AFC better than Fagan. Whilst I have a great performance history as a CEO/MD I'm not suited to that industry and couldn't be ****** with the sponsorships and jerking people off to raise revenue.

We know two things;
1. Some players didn't like the last Collective Minds camp.
2. Our players have been screwed by injury.

Everything else on here is filling in the blanks with bullshit, and toddlers chucking tantrums because our season is shit. That's why BigFooty is a joke and it's why the AFC treat all of you muppets with contempt.
You must move in some really important circles

The biggest problem I have with this claim about Mitch McGovern that has been written above is that the camp was at the start of this year.. if this is true and he was forced to say this over and over then he would rightly be pissed about it and rightly still be pissed about it now...

But just over a month ago when interviewed he said;

“He cheekily said he would love to make it a McGovern double act at West Lakes.
"It would be very nice to play with him," Mitch said.
"I've been in his ear, but I'm not too sure what he's going to do."

Doesn’t sound like something someone that hates the club and the camp at the start of the year would say... in fact he said he’s been in his brothers ear trying to encourage him to come to West lakes..

Would you really be jovially saying stuff like this if you were unhappy and wanted out?... you’d flat out say “nah, I doubt he’ll be coming to adelaide” if you were that pissed off with the club and wanting out yourself..

Next level skullduggery and red herring planting.

I think you're right in theory, but I think the reality of it wouldn't look pretty. Do any other clubs have voting members?

Pretty sure Hawthorn does

SACA would be another example locally

I don't believe for one second that Brad Crouch tried to assault Burton and was pulled off him all because he was told he shouldn't get surgery

FFS, I read it that Crouch was going to hit Burton but Burton pulled him off.

I shook my head and thought " that's one way to beat off the attacker"

I knew the media used bigfooty as there source. Some dip shit has put this on twitter tagging the aflshouter as if it is fact. Well done moron and we wonder where there stupid stories come from. I wonder how long until mcclure and barrett run with itView attachment 514607

The post Jenkins4 posted yesterday was copied and became a thread on Bay13 about an hour later, created by 1 of the Power flogs. He was very excited and extremely pleased with himself

This is how countries are governed.
Not everyone is a nutter.
I think some of the other clubs are a bit more “democratic and accountable “ than the AFC. It would be interesting to compare the various clubs in this regard.

Imagine half this lot voting club executive in and out

FMD - lose 6 games out of 12 and bam - that’s it - out !!!!!

It’d be a revolving door nightmare

Direct from a senior player this week over dinner and drinks, the McGovern out and other rumours are an active anti Crows campaign. The club and players know who is spreading the rumours and its a case of sour grapes.

Can anyone think of a person with media links who has been anti Crows?

According to player Mitch is going no where

Great news, but fact is that every player who has requested a trade was either not going anywhere or hadn't made up their mind as at June of the year they departed.

I wonder if next year, we can get James Salerno to run our camp. May as well have a proper cult if that is what we are angling for in our pre season camp
Least Jim Jones isnt available

Ironically the origin of Kool-Aid

A ton of it and yet all of it failed when it mattered. So their defence is incompetence??

Their form of governance is forcing a supplier that has already provided the requested goods to fill out a new supplier form or else face delays in being paid. There's good governance and then there's meaningless governance for the sake of being seen to have some. Our organisation is rotten to the core.

Its pretty ****ed up that Jimmy Bartel and foxsports are talking about trading one of our contracted players. Looking at what is being stated in the media, McGovern is not rated anywhere near as highly as I rate him. If clubs agree and are unwilling to give us what we see as fair value for a contracted player, then ideally, we should not be trading him even if it is true that he wants to leave. Its not a great thing to have a player that doesnt want to be here. Even though he still needs to perform to land his next mega contract in 2.5 seasons time, its the two way running and the non-statistical stuff that he gives us that might suffer. I really hope that this rumour is the one out of a million that is false because by the sounds of it, we are going to get reamed in this one.
