I dont get all the McGuane hate. Sure he isnt a superstar but he has a crack and provides coverage in more than one position should injury strike. He is as good as any delisted player we might pick up in his place and next year he gets delisted and we can replace him with a relatively decent draft pick compared to the pick we would be using this year.

I would have given Post a 1 year deal and told him that's it unless he proves himself.

McGuane has serious deficiencies as a footballer however when he received his chance from Round 15 onwards he kicked 15.10 in 9 games and despite some horrendous errors vs Freo was very handy up forward. Unlike Post he took his opportunity and offered a very solid contribution. He also laid 31 tackles in the 9 games and had a genuine crack. Not a great player but deserving of a 1-yr extension.

I had the misfortune of being at the Cairns game and saw Derickx drop that mark. At the time I thought he'd never play for Richmond again, however with the trading of Graham he is the only ruckman on our list apart from Maric & Vickery.

White is a depth player pure & simple. In regard to list management the Choice is between White and Pick 92 in the Draft. White wins out on that equation.
