Your first mistake was thinking that the club would care.

Cardone is probably pitching it to the board as "getting our brand in the Melbourne media".
Yeah I can't say I'm surprised but I didn't wanna say I left a single stone unturned in trying to get something done

What do you expect to be done?
At the very least some sort of correspondence from the club about their opinion on the issue. We often talk about wanting the club to grow a backbone when it comes to the prison bars, I think they need a backbone in other areas as well such as this. At most I'd want a public statement from them, but I understand the club can't exactly do much here.
The end goal is to get some sort of apology from the Herald Sun though, I support fair and honest journalism and it's one of my key codes of conduct when I take part in my own journalism. I operate on a scale so miniscule compared to the Herald Sun so it just disappoints me when I see them with all their power use it irresponsibly (it doesn't shock me though). I did submit a complaint to the Australian Press Council so that could result in them being forced to make an apology, but we'll see.

We're obviously Joffa's second favourite team. Mission accomplished for Koch.

I still can’t record anything for my YouTube channel so unfortunately a tiktok will have to do, but here’s a video I made about the Joffa article. If you could take the time to watch it I’d greatly appreciate that and the same goes for if you’re able to share the video. I’ve already posted it to the “We Are Port Adelaide” Facebook group and my own Instagram but we need more eyes on this issue for the sake of our club.
I for 1 vote Fizzler for best looking poster
That moustache and mullet combo 😍

Turned 20 last month. I like to call myself the bootleg Lachie Jones given I'm only a year younger than him hahaha

Agree.

Only relevance I can see is that the story says the victim 'threw his support behind Port Adelaide for the 2004 Grand Final' when he was 13 years old - at the time he was being groomed by Joffa online and a few months before he was sexually assaulted by him.

'journo' compiling the story no doubt insisted he put on a Port jumper for that purpose.
Am I missing something here? Read the caption and look at the photo again. That's not the victim

The club should try to respond to every member enquiry regardless.

If you’re not a paid member then it should depend on what you’ve contacted them about and how serious it is.

LOL. You're right and I'm a dead set idiot. That's Joffa in the jumper from back in 2004.

And there I was thinking that for a 32 year old the poor victim sure suffered a heck of trauma since 2004 - looked damn nearer to 50 ish in that pic.

I agree with Fizzler- pic is a bloody disgrace and misleading - especially for people who are slow in the uptake :drunk:.

Anyone that correlates the club somebody supports to its propensity for child abuse is already slow on the uptake.

Whilst true, the PR machine didn't get that image selected, along with the caption mentioning Port, for no reason.
It is so incredibly spineless that our club's current leadership has ignored such a blatant tarnishing of the club's image. Keep quiet David and Co, and it'll blow over. ****ing cowards, the lot of them.

People here complain about channel 7 filming a Port cap on the dashboard of a guy who committed a minor misdemeanour, while this child rapist gets to shine in his darkest moment wearing one of our guernseys. The fact that it's Collingwood pulling the strings makes it even more shit.

This fcuking corrupt league can go fück itself.

Oh no doubt it’s a campaigner act!

But it’s aimed at other campaigners.

Speaking of which, even BF is connecting him to Port.

Haven't listened to Rowey for months, yesterday turned on, within 30 seconds asking Timmy with an alarm bell sound about the result....

Never again.

How Timmy refrains from king hitting that flog every day blows my mind.

If the result he’s referring to was a loss to 17th placed West Coast I actually agree with Rowe it is alarming

Any loss at any time used to be alarming for port adelaide and measures wouldve been put in place to correct it asap.

Now they get contract extensions and reach arounds for not finishing last.

"Mark Ricciuto answers the tough questions"

"Mr. Ricciuto, your rebuild seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?"
