I was gonna call yesterday to renew, but I got a message saying expect a call tomorrow. So I thought I would wait and see if I get a player to call Ask some questions before they get my money lol Still waiting for the call though

Chad Cornes mentioned on 5AA last night, that the players would be calling lapsed members between 5 & 7pm tonight.

Should be interesting to see if there is a surge after the boy's efforts tonight.

Membership Phone Drive
All 47 listed players, the coaching staff, the club’s off-field staff and a group of volunteers will be on the phones and pitching in to rack up more than 2,000 phone calls over a 5 hour period between 4pm and 9pm.

Overall, I've been impressed with the membership drive this year. Simple and clever promotion and getting ALL the players to phone members who haven't signed up is another gem.

I emailed the club two weeks ago to get my membership renewal number so I could renew my platium membership over the internet. They still havent got back to me! I am pretty angry that I have to chase them to give them $370, hopefully this has just happened to me.

I'm taking the plunge and going to sign up tonight, can i call up or will they all be busy doing outbound calls?

I haven't been a member for a while, i guess i will get a gold membership. Are the seats for this level any good?

Out of interest what has peaked your interest enough to sign up this year?

I would suggest you go for a platinum package, those seats are the best and the club gets the most out of it.

It's disappointing that you haven't been contacted, but Platinum is sold out? You needed to renew by Jan15. If you lost your renewal, maybe just sign up again.

yeah i think the platinum has sold out so i would have if it wasn't for that.

I don't think there wasn't anything in particular that sparked my want to be a member, i think its been on the cards for a while but while at uni it wasn't really feasible for a number of reasons. I really think the final straw has been the want to do my bit for a club that has given us all so much and while i know a membership isn't a huge investment to the club it all helps at this dire point in time.

im looking forward to getting to most of the home games and really getting behind my team, win, lose or that unlikely draw.

The phone calls have started - just got an excited friend ring me to tell me that Jason Cripps called!

He (the friend) was so shocked he got the call, he renewed on the spot!

Yeh I saw that it had to be done by 15 Jan, but didnt realise platinum was sold out. I updated my membership the same time last year and had no problems. Hopefully tredders calls me today so we can work out a deal!

im a fan of the pro-activeness of the club trying to recruit members

im working on a small plan myself which I am hoping will add at least another 10-20 members to the club - i know its not much but every number counts so shall see how it goes. Will post the details here in the hope that some others might follow the plan

Yep, I signed up a few extra which is great .

Just had the Port Club on Channel 9 News, confirmed we are over 25k. They mentioned the number to call a few times, and interviewed D-Rod. Good publicity .
