Hey Guys,

I have set up an Official account for membership specifically - EFC_Membership, same person as before but a new account soley focused on membership.

Any questions or queries, hit me up!

Edit (TB): we are now on part 2.

Membership 2012 - Speak to the club here PART II (13/04/2012: 44,463)

Looks like the membership numbers have dropped to less than 100 per day.

Hopefully another win or so will sustain or even lift the rate of uptake.

Re: Membership 2012 - Speak to the club here. [10/04/2012: 44,272]

There was an Essendon official (can't remember who) on the radio the other morning and he mentioned that a high % of new members that signed up last season have not renewed for 2012.

ANZAC Day has been sold out for some time. It never sells out straight away (like in the first few hours etc) but is usually sold out a few weeks before the day.

Unless your membership includes an away reserved seat at the G (I’m not completely familiar with all the package types so not sure), pretty sure you just have general admission rights like everybody else.

Might have to hit up ebay, I’ve done that a couple of times for ANZAC Day. Paid a slight premium but nothing outrageous.

Was always gonna be hot this year being a Pies home game. There’s only about 55k seats when you take out MCC and AFL members, and Collingwood has nearly 80k members, a fair few of whom probably have a seat.

Exactly.. Just go throu the gate where your seat is located..

The annoying thing about ANZAC day tickets is Collingwood members can buy more than one ticket per membership. My cousins husband bought 4 tickets and I'm pretty sure he is a three game member. Lucky one of those 4 tickets was for me :)

Edit. This is especially annoying because as Essendon members we can not reciprocate the favour to him when it is our home game.

Ps. Did not mean to quote my post, doing this off my iPod and hit the wrong button :p

**** that, do I get a refund on my admission costs?
Why should you? Your membership includes general admission access to games. But there's no general admin on ANZAC Day. So your membership gives you the right to buy a ticket during the member pre-sale in Feb. You had your chance. You missed it. There's almost always tickets that go on sale at the last minute, so watch Ticketek.

As of today, the 13/4/12, we currently have 44,463 members.

EFC_Membership - thanks for your presence on here - you've been very helpful to the Bigfooty Bomber faithful.

Do you know if the below was a widespread issue with the rollout of the resell program &/or why I didn't get a response to the ticketmaster email?:

Giggidy Giggidy said:
Tried to sell-back my seat early last week since I was away for the long weekend and kept getting error messages right at the end of the process. The ticketmaster website requested that I contact the EFC regarding the error message and provided a 'send email' portal.

As usual this season (3-4 times over the pre-season), my emails were ignored by the EFC and my seat went unused for the match. Calling the club was not an option as I was overseas, and shouldn't needed to have been an option anyway given that the email portal was provided.

I think BTG's impression is that his membership does cover the cost of a seat, just not the reservation fee.

If he's not able to reserve a seat due to sellout to the general public, he believes the cost of the seat should be refunded to him.

Is this not the case? Fair enough it it only covers the right to purchase one.

If the Anzac Day game is a home game, then does the same apply for the silver membership with home game access? I'm trying to convince my wife we NEED a family silver membership, and you can't get the home & away access as a family.

It covers General Admission entry. Not a reserved seat. For games with General Admission, he's fine. But for a game like ANZAC Day, and likely the Carlton game next week, he has to get a reserved seat. It's made very clear.
