Managed to snag a seat in the Blue and Gold terrace. Cheers to full strength beers!
Got a text saying my window was open at 10.16am, had to wait 50 deep in a Ticketmaster queue to access the portal but other than that it was a seamless experience. Had an email confirming my change in my inbox at 10.32am.
Congratulations, that is awesome

I don't drink so I wouldn't make the most of full strength beer, but those are the best views in the house and having the terrace itself would be pretty cool

Yeah, the text /email came out long after my window actually opened. Ironically I didn't like any of the seats that were available to me at 9am or just before 10am but when I returned after a couple of hours the seats I wanted were there. The confirmation of my change was instant too.

The sun is still pretty brutal for afternoon games, but outside of that the terrace experience is great based on when I've been there in the past. I've got friends who have tickets in the same bay so it will be good to be able to stand at the bar and watch with them!

I applied for a seat change. My window opens on monday.

currently in 113, but wanting to move to C reserve.
All the best for your seat change
I hope your experience is as smooth as mine was
Some of the C reserve ones are great and I considered downgrading from B to C in certain sections but in the end stayed in B

I applied. I have had 2 A Reserve seats for a while and a mate just got elevated from ITW. Am hoping to get 3 seats together. The club do absolutely sfa to help with this.
There are no blocks of 3 seats together in A Reserve and they said even if I found people willing to swap seats they would not allow it because “they would have to do it for everyone”.
And yeah, I did notice that seats with more than 2 together were getting snapped up instantly even in other places.
It's so frustrating that they wouldn't accommodate even after you found people willing to swap though.

I hope you get one of those unicorn triple blocks

Still no seated membership offer for me this year lmao.
How long have you been waiting for and what is your waitlist number?

It took me 11 long years in ITW Plus (when it existed)/ITW but I finally became a full WA member in Jan. A silver lining of our spoon is that many people gave up their membership as a result.

Hopefully you don’t have to wait too many more years.

I applied to move seats as we have 3 together and 1 two rows back. Haven't heard anything about my window, might have to ring them on Monday.

Idk where to find my waiting list number but I'm a flexi member not ITW.
I got offered a seated membership last year but I was too busy to look into it until it was closed.

I've got two seats in the sun on level 1 and even though I knew the chances would be slim, I was hoping that there might be two seats somewhere on the same level in the shade but nothing. Minimal two seats anywhere, only on Level 5.

Very limited seats to move to this year. Would love to get off level 5 but only limited seats on level 2 in the sun. I’m thinking I’ll go down the note holder path to upgrade my seats.

Are they doing the usual system where they leave the window open for a couple of weeks? If so, I got off level 5 to level 3 but checking in everyday and finally jagging some seats. Only problem is I could only get 3 next to each other and the 4th is two rows back.

I'm going to try and consolidate this year but haven't been invited to the seat window yet.

What’s the note holder path?

I’m a note holder too so that could be good to know. On level 5 also

What is the note holder path? I am a note holder but am not aware of any advantage left with them. I would be keen to find out if as I am trying to change seats.

Managed to shift from block 113 to block 331 and saved $330.

Sitting river end behind the goals so pretty happy with that.

Given i only have 1 membership, was pretty easy to move around.

seamless process.
I've got 4 seats to move and the annoying thing with the process is that I'm going to have to log in periodically until I happen to see 4 I like. To get these on level 3 I had to try for about 3 weeks.

All I want is to move 1 seat next to the other 3, but the club hasn't been able to help directly (which is probably fair enough as the seats next to me are full).

First post as I wish to comment on this thread. The seat change process is a debacle. I have three seats in section 113 and have entered the seat swap process the last few years. These are great seats but I do only require 2 and have been trying to move up a category (and be under cover). With the amount we pay for memberships there should be actual human involvement in the process.

Well done. I saw the single one in that block and if there was two I would take it. I really don't understand how there are so many single seats all over the place. I wouldn't have thought that there would be too many single memberships. Must be people dropping a seat. There should be a better way to try and avoid so many single seats all over the place.

May have derived from the inaugural seat holders choosing their seats when they moved to Optus?

People generally dont want to sit next to anyone they dont know so may have skips the seat next to one that is taken.

I did this 10 years ago, got 2 lots of 2 and moved them together when the Optus move happened. Last notes were $2,500 each then, I reckon they may be a bit cheaper now.

They kept this pretty quiet then and now, but there is a seat attached to the note unless it has been given up, though doesn't help with seat changes. There is also a different finals ticket right, the AFL owns the ticketing rights but there is a priority section organised by the club.

I rang Sports talk back in the day and Nissie said that the Optus seating choice was it - there were no more rights but I'm not so sure. The notes are still on the books and are a liability, even if heavily discounted. Have though about going in there and looking at Constitution/AOA to see what's there. Good job for a corporate lawyer.

I heard that they'd ditched the note privileges when they moved to Optus. You can get the same preference for GF tickets if you pay for a high enough seat category (things like Premeirship Terrace, club 92 etc).

Yeah it’s frustrating not being able to speak to a human who can see all the seating available and allocate.
Happen’s constantly with large organisations, banks, government, insurance etc.
I feel your pain.

I actually like the non human system. Pretty easy to see available seats. Click on them and you see the price and the view from the seat.
