De-listing Snelling is another good insight into the brave new world we're in.

We're going all in on the softest, most front running, weak outside shite that we're capable of in the hope that we can cheat the system and win a final next year.

When Hardwick lost his composure do you think he called Essendon spuds because it is made up of hard-working blue collar toilers (which is what Hardwicks's premierships were built on)?

I've been warning people that Brad Scott is not hard and has not brought any of the qualities he is associated with to the team. The numbers confirmed it, the eye test confirmed it and now the list management is confirming it.

Voss is symbolic, too, but, he doesn't matter because he is a rookie and we should just ignore 50% of the players we recruit each year.

I am losing hope in Scott to be honest. Fear we are going straight down the road of the Roos circa 2014/15

roos? the guy who took over melbourne as a total basketcase, and laid the foundations for what would be eventually a flag and consistent top 4 finishes? i'd love to go down that road.

What did the Roos do in 2014 and 2015 that looks anything remotely like what we are doing now?
Brought in Waite, Dal Santo, Higgins, similar to McKay, Gresham and Duursma. I don't necessarily agree but I can see what he means

Waite - 31
Dal Santo - 29
Higgins - 25

McKay - 25
Gresham - 26
Duursma - 23

Fair difference in age profile (though obviously that changes a lot if we include Goldy). Either way I wouldn't be concerned about replicating the North Melbourne free agency moves. I'll be concerned if we replicate the latter North years of giving up first round picks for the likes of Jed Anderson, Jasper Pittard and Jared Polec...

Different was that just didn’t have a stack of young developing talent. They had a bunch of c and b grade mature guys on the list that he was ringing the rag dry with.

Also the free agents he brought into north were over 30? Gresham and mckay still have plenty of footy left

Yeah.

Nah.

Delisting Snelling and Voss means nothing at all. Snelling is depth at best and Voss is not AFL standard.

Snelling was one of the spuds Dimma was talking about…

It's going to take a long time to turn over this list of spuds. And I don't believe it helps to go down the Kangas/Hawkes path of blowing it all up and bringing in kids to get flogged every week.

They say it's a shallow draft, we've seemingly improved the list marginally and we'll go around again next year with guys on 1 year deals who'll probably be in the gun.

I just wonder who the available talent is that we didn't bring in that shows it up as some sort of failure?
