WCE don't need a back up for Cox we already have Sullivan (202cm) on the rookie list and Sneddon (203cm) on schoolarship to join us next year on the rookie list as well.

Re: 1st 8 Picks Set in Stone - Top 8 Pick Mock

richmond and vickery was ment to be. but port may take him if they dont want to continue wif the lade + brogan combo (which i think is pretty good) and deluca was good at the end of the year. The top 8 is clear except for vickery.

1 melb - watts
2 wce - rich
3 freo - nic nat
4 port - vickery or harlett
5 ess - hurley
6 carlton - ziebell
7 bris - yarran
8 rich - harlett or vickery

Re: DTM Pre-Trade Week 2 Round Mock Draft

I like this one as well
if we get Hartlett and Rockliff i will be over the moon
don't really want us to take Johnston at 10 as i think we need a quality young midfielder more than a quality bottom age forward
Hartlett and Rockliff fulfill our needs nicely

Re: DTM Pre-Trade Week 2 Round Mock Draft

Did you go by what clubs are after or just your own ranking of the players.

Also its Johnston and Trengove

I also dont think Essendon, who want a KPP would pass on Hurley if available

Re: DTM Pre-Trade Week 2 Round Mock Draft

haha he's got Robinson as pick 15 and pick 32
Geelong were 1 pick away from getting him twice :p
they were so disappointed that they took someone else already taken

Re: 1st 8 Picks Set in Stone - Top 8 Pick Mock

If Vickery made it to pick 6, I wouldn't mind getting Vickery. Imagine If we get Warnock, Vickery, Kreuzer, Hampson. That would be awesome. we could then develope Kruezer, as a centre half forward that can also ruck and has excellent speed. Then we could have Warnock, Hampson and Vickery ( all very agile)competing for the two ruck spots. We could potentially have 3 elite 200 cm+ players running around.

Re: DTM Pre-Trade Week 2 Round Mock Draft

But it is only BF that has decided his worth to be around 20. It's quite feasible [although I think it won't happen] that Hill could go top 10.

Sheahan did seem rather horny when talking about him yesterday.

Re: DTM Pre-Trade Week 2 Round Mock Draft

i think swift is a huge chance for our pick, as voss has worked with him in the ais when he did his knee and he was in the leadership group aswell.
but we might not take him over ziebell

2:West Coast - Rich
3:Fremantle-Naitanui
4:port Adelaide - Hartlett
5:Essendon - Ziebell
6:Carlton-Hurley
7:Brisbane-Yarran
8:Richmond-Vickery

i may be being optimistic by saying that the dons will overlook hurley but they do already have a lot of KPP's in neagle, ryder gumby etc and lack lack pace and class which zeebs would provide. think the tiges would score big time here, roney will be a star.

I agree, Essendon may overlook Hurley.

Holy crap there are some good players in this draft!

Re: Top 10 Pick Mock With Explanation

I can't fathom how Sidebottom has risen so much.

I watched the GF and he had a purple patch. The defense he was on was woeful...absolutley woeful. Of his 10 goals, only about two impressed me. I just didn't see what other people are raving about.

I am not saying he is not worth it, but I wish someone could tell me why he will stand out at AFL level. Right now I think he is a big bust waiting to happen.

If you read the various reports on Sidebottom's season by Ant555 and others you will note that he had a stellar finals SERIES for the Bushrangers, adding to his very solid carnival (AA selection), and averaging roughly 22 touches a game in the TAC Cup as a bottom aged player.

He's had a fantastic season and wouldn't be out of place in the top five. I won't be complaining if Essendon pick him up at #5 thats for sure.

Re: Top 10 Pick Mock With Explanation

1. Naitanui
2. Rich
3. Yarran
4. Hurley
5. Watts
6. Zeibell
7. Blease
8. McKernan
9. Sidebottom
10. Johnstone

mines a bit different, dont really think niknats worth a no 1 selection but if the dees dont land warnock or seaby they may be forced to make a needs based decision. Freo have been looking at yarran who is freakish and west coast wont take a victorian after the judd saga. i reckon blease would appeal to the lions too as he is the type of player to build a side around.
