Oh my; I highly doubt it..
If Wattsy is available for Freo/WCE they will take him in a blink of an eye.
Watts is clearly the best talent in this years draft

Big Footy picks the top 8!!

As an exercise in boredom, yesterday I collated about 45 different top draft lists which have been posted on these boards. The bulk of the selections were for top 8/6 selections only, so the selection of 9-16 was a bit of a lottery thus I wont post the results here for them. Needless to say though, that Cordy is going to the Dogs!!!

As for the first eight, this is (in order) the top eight as selected by the punters on Big Footy.

Johnston

According to the pundits - the top three are a cert in that order - bank on it!!!!

The next two are interchangeable by one percentage point.

As for the also rans - Suban, McKernan, Zaharakis featured pretty prominently in what there was of the top 16.

The one missing from top 16, that I thought would get a guernsey was Klemke.

Next year is a long way off . Watts probably wont be no1 next year there is already a lot of hype on scully and for mine he is seriously good I believe he will be the best midfielder ever (theres a big statement )he's another Judd nobody will take watts over scully . Then theres Butcher who is developing big time morabito and a few others it will be a good draft next year as well .

think it will hard to go past Kane Lucas from WA next year with the top picks. Really stood out in the final of the Under 18 cani against Vic Metro and I dare say would have been top 20 had he been eligable this year.
1 more year to develope and he will be awesome.

Dees need a Good Young Forward and You can't get much better then Watts. Plus you have get the Go Home Factor.

2:West Coast - Natanui

I think the Eagles will go with Nick Nat because accept for Cox - Seaby is Okay but Imagine what Nick Nat will be Like after a few seasons with Cox

3:Fremantle - Rich

They will just go for the Last of the Big 3 and That will be Rich and To go along with Palmer and Ibbosten. That could be a Scary Midfield

4ort Adelaide - Vickery

With the lack of Young Tall's and Ruck getting Old. Vickery would fit in well at Port because he can Play Ruck and Can take Contested Marks and Kick Goals for Port

5:Essendon - Hartlett

I think the Bombers would go best Avaliable and That would Young Gun Mid from SA and Can help add Class to the Bombers Midfield

6:Carlton - Hurley

Simple Blues need a KP Backman and Hurley is the best Avaliable and That could Hellp put Waite back upfoward and Go nice along with Thorton and Jamiseon

7: Brisbane - Yarran

I think the Lions will love Yarran because he can Help them have more Goal Kickers and Also can do some Wonderful things in the Midfield

8:Richmond - Mitch Robinson

I think the Tigers will Love him because he can come Straight in and Make a Impact in there Midfield.

9:North Melbourne - Zibell

I think the Roos will love Zibelll He would add some Great Skills to the Mid and Plus he is Young

10:Adelaide - Johstone

Crows need some Key Fowards that Can Kick goals and He is the Best Avaliable and Best of all for the Crows he is a SA Boy

I like this one, its similiar to mine however Ziebell to the Lions if they have the chance of snaring him. I think the Tigers might be interested in Lewis Johnstone as well, and wouldnt be surprised if the Roos went with Sidebottom, Blease, Suban type(best mid they rate) and Adelaide picking up best forward or midfielder available.

Agree with the second two but not the first one. Vickery is definitely in contention for a top 5 pick in my view, especially if the Dees decide to take Watts.

I think Port are a good chance to take a tall, whoever that is. Be it Nico, Vickery (most likely) or Trengove.

It depends if Port decides to go for need or best avaliable. Going by best availiable Vickery is not top 5. I hope that is Port view as well for obvious reasons.

Vickery is arguably in the top 5 even going by best available, he is a very promising ruckman/forward.

If this actually happens Fremantle will actually have a decent midfield but then again they usually stuff good players up anyway.

I was keen on Rich but Natanui actually has a lot more upside than Rich , bring on the draft for god sake.

Before Vickery did his knee last year he was viewed as one of the best and most talented juniors that would come through in this draft and he showed that in the final against Western Australia.

I have no doubt that he is good enough to go top 5 although i hope Port pass and Richmond can snap him up at 8.
