Re: DTM 1st 2 Round Mock Draft

Just watching the WAFL grand final and Yarran, Rich and Natanui have done nothing to warrant high draft selections. Obviously this game wont be taken in isolation but all have been average. Yarran may even slip further, maybe out of the top 10-12.

Watching it to, Rich didn't do a lot but he is so so damaging when he does, his left boot is dynamic.

Yarran needs to apply himself every minute of the game. It's been said before he lacks intensity so to speak for most of the game, this was very apparent today.

Naitanui really is a work in progress. Love his chancing and the way he applies himself to the contest by producing a number of 1%ers but his disposal, knowledge of the game and sometimes his awareness leaves a lot to be desired.

Was very impressed with Adam Cockie and Brett Wolfenden, especially the former. Clancee Pearce was pretty good also.

Re: DTM 1st 2 Round Mock Draft

I doubt we are looking at Cornelius. With Gumbleton, Neagle and Daniher already on the list as developing tall forwards i just don,t see a spot for Aaron.

I do see a point. There is nothing any of these three have shown to indicate they could play 200 games at FF/CHF.

Admittedly Gumby and Neagle have shown glimpses of high potential, but I really want to see them deliver next year. Surely there are questions over where Daniher will be best suited.

Cornelius looks a lovely type, I'd def take him at 23.

Gumby needs to play CHB next year

Re: DTM 1st 2 Round Mock Draft

McKernan doesn't make much sense for Collingwood. We should be after the best available mids.

Especially as Dave is so besotted with Cameron Wood... has he developed an addiction to ruckmen?

The stocks of both Cockie and Wolfenden seem to be on the rise after this game (which I didn't see, just based on comments on "Bigfooty").

Re: DTM 1st 2 Round Mock Draft

i have a good feeling that cornelius might get drafted by sydney. we need kp chf and i think we will bite the bullet and he will fit the bill. if hall stays, him tutoring cornelius, will extend the shelf life of o'keefe and mellow hall a bit.

with our 2nd round pick we will take a kp defender, as a replacemnt for bevan when he moves to craig bolton's position or to directly replace leo barry, since lrt isnt upto it.

3rd round we will draft a quick midfielder, since we have a lot of potential clearence types in jack and bird, to go with veszpremi.

Re: Post GF DTM Mock Draft - 2 Round Draft

While I could understand why you would think Geelong need another tall forward after today's debacle - we don't. Likewise, we have Varcoe, Gamble, Chapman, Byrnes, Djerrkura and Davenport - we're not going to take another small forward.

We'd be far more likely to take Lisle or Swift.

Re: Post GF DTM Mock Draft - 2 Round Draft

I think you should discuss why you've placed the players where you have.

I will be doing that with Later Version Mocks I will do:thumbsu:

Re: Post GF DTM Mock Draft - 2 Round Draft

1st Round:

West Coast - Natanui
Fremantle - Rich

What makes u think WC will go for Nicnat, id much rather have rich at the dockers than Nicnat, as freo have a horible history of developing plakyers, but the general consensus is that rich to WC.
Any inside information?
