No mate. But if you go and read alot of the VFL reports, Blight showed quite a bit in his 1st year and stagnated somewhat this year. Always had that trademark 'AFL potential' type player. Some suggested he was homesick.

It was reported that our original offer was 3rd round pick 60ish and Blight.

Blight hasn't officially been delisted, but all the solid rumours has him gone. We should get him to a place he wants to go and if it means pick 43 & Blight, I'd do it.

Fair enough. Type 'jarrad blight delisted' into google news and you get that direct quote. The Age is a major news outlet, forgive me for assuming. Looks as though the article quoted itself is accurate, it's just not official yet, and will become so after trade week has finished unless any other clubs trades for one of them, yeah?

Your right its just poor journalism, at this stage anyway. Yes from what i can gather the club will delist those players but only after trade week has come to a conclusion. So if Fremantle are interested in Blight I'd assume he'd be traded for a pick in the 90's or thereabouts.

Not a superstar but has the potential to be a very good half back/wingman. Tall, quick and a raking kick.

All supporters were surprised with his delisting. He would have been pushing for a game next year or the year after (once he put on a couple of more Kg). I'd say homesickness is probably the main reason why he is being delisted.

Just read McKinley kicked 42 goals. Deadly accurate, but fallen away and went for pick 86!

Played less games then Anthony to kick 42 and seems like same sort of player. Of course thats not the case at all because Anthony is worth atleast a first rounder to Pies supporters because he kicked 50 goals in 2009.

If it came down to those 2 id take 55 and Anthony and use 55 or 61 on Griffin and have Anthony and Griffin spending time in the WAFL getting reay for an injury or 6 before getting a game.

Anthony saying he wants more of a chance should find some balls and train harder and force his way in like any decent player should.

Agree with this. The only games he'll be getting in the next ten years at Collingwood is if Dawes or Cloke gets injured. No hope of coming back and making an impact in the forward line.

I had Wellingham in our best 22 last year. Look how that turned out. Seriously though, are the petty insults needed?



Revamps his game? He was a clear best 22 player with his current game in 2009. If by revamp his game you mean not re-injure his shoulder or any other limb, then yes, agreed.

He was never a inside midfielder or a tagger until this season. A good injury run helped aswell.

I was talking about Anthony. Why does he have to revamp his game when his game was clear best 22 when fit?

Also, Wellingham played was an inside midfielder before this year, just not as much time was spent there as this season. He also went head to head with midfielders, with success, and that is all he has done this year. He has never been a negating tagger.

His game style hasn't changed. He just needed to get physically ready for playing full time in the midfield. This isn't revamping his game, it's natural progression for a player.

This year he kicked 5 from 7 matches. Crowley bagged 5 in 1 game!

Anthony seems like a pussy of great proportions.

Look at me i kicked 50 goals in 2009... now because i have no heart i cant find my way back in to a side where i can play forward or back and am considered by everyone as the next in line.

Maybe i'll just opt to play elsewhere because im a soft **** who thinks football owes me and i just dont have to work hard.

Pies will offer him token 2 year deal and he will rot away like he did this season.

But yeah he's best 22 for Pies and will kick over 50 next season
