in 1997 Ian Collins former president of Carlton put in a lone enquiry on behalf of himself that an incident involving Chris Grant of Western Bulldogs &
Nick Holland of Hawthorn in a match played at princess park should be investigated even though it was not deemed a reportable incident on the day by all umpires officiating...Holland was not hurt(a free kick was awarded) he didnt miss any football...the resulting vindictive protest cost Grant the 1997 brownlow as the ensuing enquiry found it worthy of at least a weeks suspension...that is the disgrace that is Carlton right there in a nutshell...thats the level Carlton were used to stooping too...his team wasnt even involved...not long after the infamous Carlton salary cap saga evolved..just another turd of a person from a turd of a club.
Carlton have now resorted to celebrating the 1979 premiership with 2-3 reunions a year...may well they linger in past glories for many decades to come
