Positional Changes - Season

Observations:
  • cats2rise and Headless both added another position to their resume and have now spent time in eight different onfield positions. DERO joins Proper Gander with six.
  • Tem people have now spent time in the emergencies
  • DERO , manangatang , Bluelegs and jmoo wan have all spent more than 10% of the season on the bench. moginie just missed out on being past of this group by 0.05%.
  • manangatang is the only player regularly selected who has spent no time in defence, while I am the only player at all who has spent no time on the ground in any position other than in defence.
  • cartwright still has not been moved from her starting position at any time this season.

Posting Stats - Rd 11

The Furies have been one of those teams where match threads can get totally out of control from time to time, but that was not the case this week. This week's match thread was 25% down on any other Demons match thread this season and Demons posting numbers were also down as a result. Although we contributed almost 60% of the thread content, the Demons had over 100 posts fewer than any other match thread this season.

Despite this, Tarkyn_24 had his highest post count since Round 8 and Greenery did well in his final Demons game of Season 35, being one of only a few to come close to their season average posting and finish with his first top three finish of the season (2nd highest post count for the week).

Wosh clearly took advantage of the alone time she got with her family away and dropped off the top of the weekly post count for the first time in over a month while Bluelegs was well down on his usual activity level.

After seeing over 20 Demons contributers in every match thread over the past six weeks, we dropped back to 19. The last time we saw numbers this low was back in Round 3. Marlowe has been absent for the past two weeks while Van_Dyke and cats2rise were also missing.
The 19th Demons player to post this week was Callums_Guns who returns to the club couresy of a mid-season trade with OOB. I'm not gtoing to count this post against his average but will count it in the Demons posts for the week. Welcome back CG!

Hopefully the win will kick the Demons back into action after a down week. Not that this weeks posting is an issue though. We're still averaging over 20 posters per week, with 11 players averaging over 14 posts per game and 16 players averaging over 10. What a team!

We have the Warriors this week. Come out to play-ay.

DT Stats - Rd 11

Warm conditions again! Three weeks in a row, and this time at Mt Buller. What's up with that? Is it even possible to build a snowman in these conditions?
Stats were slightly up on the last two games in the heat though, probably due to us actually playing better and winning.

sante scored 109, giving him back to back 100s; the first time any Demon has managed to do this in Season 35. The fact that he spent almost a full quarter on the bench or in the back pocket makes this weeks effort even more impressive. cartwright was not too far behind on 90, with Hate and Tarkyn_24 a bit further behind in the 70s. These four top the averages of those who have regularly played this season. cartwright has now pushed Tarks from the top of the list.

Hopefully the Demons will actually get to play in good conditions sometime soon. Maybe the SFA should invest in roofs for the stadiums so everyone plays in the same conditions?

Starting Positions - after Round 11

Headless volunteered to sit out to accommodate rotations this week. I came back into the team on a wing while Wosh went back to a forward pocket,
We now have 13 players who have started in the emergencies this season.

It'll be interesting to see whether those who were absent from the match thread this week will be back for the Warriors or whether the next rotation will be an easy call for the selectors. Could some of the Demons greats find themselves rotated out of the 20 by default?

The big call naxt week will come due to the mid-season trade that sees Greenery moving to OOB. Who will fill the vacant spot he leaves at full forward? Will there be a permanent move or is it a chance to give 6 players an opportunity to audition for the spot in Season 36?

Will there be a bit of a reshuffle with Callums_Guns returning to the Demons? Or will things remain stable with minimal changes? Headless says "yes".
