a deal involving seaby could be arranged. Young-ish ruckman, lacks oppurtunities, would allow you guys to draft hurley or hartlett instead, who i consider to be far more talented than vickery. Seaby is much better than this years form suggests. When cox was out last year he stepped up and consistently beat more experienced and higher rated ruckmen.

true.

it obviously won't happen now, but i do see Brad returning to Port sometime during his career.

I thought the same when we drafted him but Brad has been making all the right noises while at the club. He wants to repay us for taking him (because of the controversy of Crows overlooking him). The fact we have the family onside by employing his Dad is also a good start.

Freo don't really want Krakouer.
Port don't really want Carr.

Both players could play in 2009 without too much hassle.
So, a straight trade might be the easy solution for both clubs?

Krak is worth more than Carr.

Our only chance as I see it - is if there is a throw in with a trade.

WC in the box seat if they really want him as far as I am concerned.

Krakouer has been in the system for a couple of years now without achieving a lot. And he comes with some baggage so there is a significant risk attached to him.
No doubt both WA clubs will be interested but neither will want to gamble too much.
Given a choice between Yarran and Krakour I would suggest that both may prefer Yarran.

A Port/Freo trade would have to incorporate Carr somewhere. If Port aren't willing to play ball over Carr, why should Freo give them anything for Krakouer? He's not exactly an A grader or anything at this stage.

I'm over these 'homesick' players too. Freo doesn't exist for players to play here just because it's in a convenient location. If you aren't going to bleed purple, we don't want you.

Based on the picks we currently have (and its highly possible we may get more through trading) and the limited list spots we have I suggest we may not even use our pick 36 & 52.

I think 20 is over the odds but would 36 & 52 be too much?

Moo would Adam Campbell be interested in playing for Port do you think?

A possible swap between your two clubs on the cards? Maybe the odd 2nd rounder also?

Port fans do you want Adam Campbell?

It is an interesting question.

I think Kiwi (Campbell) will be persuaded that he is part of the bigger picture and will stay.

Funnily enough - he has spoken out about wanting game time at a time when I think Freo have annointed him as the clear goal square forward. If it is purely playing time - assurances should be enough.

Lose the pick 3/4 swap. You had your chance and you blew it. Why would we give up a chance to get Naitanui/Rich? Krakouer is not that good.

Because we could get Harlett which is not a bad 4th prize.

It won't happen but Chook - missed their chance? C'mon mate it is an internet forum with a few blokes chatting.

If I was a Port fan - Krak for Carr wouldn't be on. Krak is the pinhead for signing a 2 year contract if he was unsure.

Frankly the kids not up to AFL football, and Port know it too. Williams and co pumped up the kids tyres in the media, but wont play him. Thomsons the same. They've had the shitiest of years but didnt rate either good enough to get games. Dont be fooled, if they were any good they'd be playing. Might as well flush a second/third rounder down the shitter.
