It didn’t work though, the stats don’t lie in this instance we turned the ball over at an appalling rate. Let’s not delude ourselves dunstan played a played few good games possession wise and then reverted to type. He’s off our list and on Melbourne’s as a Paul hunter for a reason. Hawthorn the side everyone wanted to copy carved up the opposition by hitting targets, richmond came along with a rolling maul chaos ball approach but they still have quite a few very skill full players, plenty of pace and dusty Martin. We lack pace and skill and are still miles off a top 4 flag chance so I’m all for upgrading some of our good ordinary ordinary players with some who posses the skills we need.

It rather Danger than Hill. Give me 30 hard won possessions over a smooth moving running polish player.

Interesting! Does that mean the midfield doesn't require effective accurate disposal? Chaos fast and accurate and effective with pieces of guided 'smart' bomb style? Their has to be the beautiful game that incorporates both .the middle path..

A part of it is win ball and pump it forward but you need players to push up and hold it in as well. The middle path is what most aspire to but in the meantime win ugly.

Ooo chook lotto, gotta love it.

Will Crazy Vossy be right in staying away at the Blues to instill some semblance of camaraderie with the place, or will Noble storm the desk and bring everything to a halt whilst giving the AFL yet another reason to go "piss off North".

The Covid testing gamble from contact, whose cuisine shall reign supreme?

Yes every time and his turnovers are under pressure but we’re at completely opposite ends with danger and hill. Hill has been disappointing and I had low expectations in terms of contested ball coming in. Hill still has a chance to turn things around and his gut running and ball use when at his best are just another piece of the puzzle, there’s a reason he’s referred to as a cherry on top.

Lets face it you need both and sometimes you luck out and find players who can do it all.

LIVE Kayo draft scoop - David King rates young Daicos as a player - who knew ?

Only he did put Horne Francis above him, then he giggled at Shifters top 40 odd.

Guru, expecting a play for 1 and 2 in live trading now based on that assumption alone.

I reckon wings these days are more like a running utility, guys like Connolly, DMac, Byrnes etc can play wing and one of the reasons that Hill looked a worse player than at his previous clubs was a lack of ball winners who can give composed dish offs to him. I'd love a Hobbs or Ward type. Otherwise Sinn, Sonsie or Goater. Play them off HB and push some up from HB to the wings.

Gil's looking good

Langdon at the Dees had a great year and played as a true wing
