Yes NP lost by about 10 goals to Xavs, a little disappointing after beating OX last year in a practice game.
Not sure if Parks are going to have as good as season as last year. Lost their main ruckman and haven't been able to replace him with anyone of size.
The 2nds who made the GF last year have been decimated by retirements and departures so they will struggle with depth.
Nothing sinister, just a few of the younger players hoping to crack it for senior games at other clubs at a lower level.
They have managed to pick up several young guys who are on VFL lists. The problem with that is you never know when they will be available and they rarely get to train with their suburban club.
I've noticed a few on here are expecting NP to be right up the pointy end come the end of season.... not so sure, unless they get a great run with no injuries I don't think they will play finals.

Agree. Hard to pass Macleod, Bundy, Mont, Hursty and North Hberg this year. The standard of div 1 will be extraordinary. There will be some teams at the end of this season who you would not expect down the bottom I think
I think the usual suspects will be thereabouts, I’m not sold on North Heidelberg.
My top 5 would be Macleod, Bundoora, Greensborough, West Preston and Northcote Park.
Bottom 5 Hurstbridge, Montmorency, Heidelberg, North Heidelberg, Whittlesea

North Heidelberg beat Goulburn Valley league club Mooroopna last night under lights up there by around 20 goals. All reports players from both clubs had around 3-4 out from their best.

Maroopna got beaten consistently by that margin last year. Whipping boys of Goulburn Valley. Cant beat winning form though

There only a practice game so how can you win easy
Won by a few goals. They had Simpson, loader and grimes out but we also had McCaffer, Still, Connelly and Rogers missing.

no it is not if there isnt any scoring
There is always scoring. Thats how you tell who wins. Unless your watching under 9s. Goals are worth 6 points and behinds are worth 1 point even in practice matches.
