I just checked his coaching record not to bad . . Coached Epping 4 years plus a Premiership. Coached Eltham 3 years plus Div 1 finals. For Thomastown to move forward he might be the right coach time will tell.

I'd say personality and character would be highly regarded by most clubs when appointing someone into such a crucial position.

Eltham - moved on after 2 seasons. Struggle to find 1 bloke who likes him there

Powelltown - sacked after not even half a year

Ivanhoe - 3rd last in division 5 ammos

I have very close friends at Powelltown and he definitely wasn't sacked, from all reports they were very happy with him. But dont let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Im sure some players followed him out of Eltham so again I enjoy the stories. As i said Eltham people need to move on and sort their own issues out. I would say their coaching appointment for 2020 and beyond is all they should be worrying about atm. Otherwise the turtles will continue to pick up the pieces.

Mario would have walked into the interview talking himself up, and saying everything the Thomastown panel would have wanted to hear. Amateurs. Time Peter cooper leaves football and starts worrying about politics again cause Thomastown hasn’t been relevant since there promotion from division 3. They should do everything in there power to get Sinclair out of retirement.

and I stand by my statement that character and personality would be a (huge) factor when a committee chooses a coach.

I don't know enough about Thomastown or their new coach to suggest this was the wrong decision, but it is naive to suggest that personality doesn't come into play.

seeing as Eltham have 2 teams in upcoming grand finals (one of which being in div 1) I would assume they’re still very much relevant, and mad Monday will be enjoyed once the seasons over for the entirety of the senior group

The Eltham faithful have come out in full force today. I keep repeating myself no one who supports Eltham should have the nerve to question any person or club. Fix your own backyard first.

yeah possibly was instrumental in leading the charge to dispose of Kingy. The club can’t shake the tag of tail wagging the dog. Oh and speaking of flogs, Dan Jarvis #15 is doing a good job of becoming one. Shows the typical Eltham arrogance that gives people like me a satisfied grin that they are entrenched in Div 2

Maybe a broken ankle not allowing him to have a pre season might also be the reason, and played every game under those two so not sure about your logic there
