Good game. Not sure why Thomastown insisted on playing their coaches box side over and over again and finally with 5 minutes left finally attacked the middle.

Oxley was very classy early.

i see you a one eye eltham supported the umpiring was deplorable for both sides bald bloke and young bloke was just as bad as each other. Anyways it didnt effect the result thank god. Better team won on the day thomo left their charge too late and the wet weather just made too hard for them get some good looks to score after poor first quarter not scoring thats where the game was won and lost

Umpiring was not great for either side. Probably favoured Eltham in the first half and Thomo in the second half but as sides were on top at those stages of the game the free kicks seem to flow that way. But it did look like both Umps where not up to senior finals to be honest.

Game was a genuine tough elimination final. Take nothing away from Thomo, Eltham kicked away and they looked to run away with a comfortable win but they came back and came back hard. May have been 19 points on the scoreboard but that was a great game that will leave a few sore bodies.

Watched the replay last night, fair assessment I thought. League need to really educate their umpires some of those calls were almost match deciding. Hope they watch the footage.

Just putting it out there what's everyone's thoughts on training and work life with young kids coming into senior footy. If a young bloke is having to work and has to miss training would you drop him or give the the benefit of the doubt if they have contacted the coach with a valid reason? It's been a discussion point around a few clubs and I have my opinion just want to hear what this forum has to offer.

Depends on alot. what do they get paid compared to others? how often does it happen? form?

I thought Thomo dominated the ruck. I know Williamson is ok (probably lacks height) but I thought after last year a premium ruck would be target 1 for panther.

He's played 4 games for the season. Very tough on the bloke who gets dropped who's committed since November.

It is but the club will take every opportunity they can to get to division 1. Hard luck stories in every GF.
