Sorry guys been in Europe enjoying great weather, great sites and magnificent food and , need to spend the big money
Injuries to some players, talks in motion to get some midfield hard ball getters , forward line is great , having said all that Reza were fantastic, is Lance the answer as coach for the bloods? Talks are that they are just falling back to the “old” Lalor even if the propaganda by the club especially the Prez during the off season too many of us
were sincerely sucked in by.Bye for now, off on the Indian Pacific , the the Ghan need to keep spending the hard earned , good luck to sides playing in the finals

Rumour has it turtles are going to tank for the rest of 2024 so they have a softer draw in 2025
Far too many sucked in and believed things would change . Yes they get a team on the park and numbers back for the seniors but that's about it . If you are building you don't get beat easily by reservoir ( and that is no disrespect at all to them ) they should have just went along with out the hype that things would change . you can say that they have dropped off with 6 losses in a row, but they haven't been smashed 4 of their losses have been within a kick, fitzroy stars loss 7 points and just recently against mernda they lost by 17, 2 games out of their 6 losses have been more than 2 goals, i wound't say their season is over yet... BUT their next two games are huge in the context of their season, i have them missing the 5 by %, but again as div 3 has showed us its on crazy season so who knows what will happen

It's unfortunate, they haven't been able to have a settled lineup. This week's big for them at home to Epping who are playing pretty good footy. I agree with turkish's view as well - they have been unlucky to lose a whole heap of games by small margins (also in front at 3QT on Saturday), and they can easily win their remaining games at the same time. They do have Epping, Ivanhoe (a) and Old Paradians on their run home.

Yes have been unlucky and still VERY much in the finals spot race I would suggest. This week is HUGE for Epping and Turtles - could determine who plays finals in 2024.

Only an hour and a quarter ride up from Ivanhoe.
How many cans is that bus ride Champ or Chump if the club decides to hire one?
Seriously, they should be playing in the Riddell or even the Kyabram league. Those are much better fits but AFL Victoria is too gutless to get in and make decisions. Next you'll end up with clubs like Yea are Alexandra applying - where do you stop?

Not sure when it will be announced but the bloke I spoke to is in the know within the league
Said it’s 100% confirmed their presentation to the league was about their players at avenel this year that will come back

They have applied to join the league, that is not the same thing as they have joined the league. First, the league needs to endorse the application, the existing clubs would have vote for them to join at a general meeting and finally AFL Vic would get the final say on whether to endorse the move.

Seriously though - a couple of things from IMHO:
- only another 10mins on from Kilmore so not a huge deal. ( travel from Ivanhoe to Mornington Peninsular across peak hour traffic before saying Broadford is a bad road trip).
- have fun with it - take a bus with the whole team ONCE a year - great team building and change up.
- when we played Kilmore at Ivanhoe they were well supported and ALL came in for the aftermatch, so distance not an issue for clubs who do it often.
- would mean no byes in Div 3 with uneven teams.
- Ivanhoe is the furthest South in the NFNL right now - so hopefully they can pay us petrol money
(joking).I'd think Broadford is about as far mth as you would want to go. Might pick up Wallan at some stage also. Some great 'local' rivalries could develop.
All that said, as posters have mentioned - needs NFNL clubs and AFL tick of approval. Good luck to them trying to get going again
