I didn't know about that one. Send me a link so that it can go straight to the pool room. You can add that to the fadgelow that Nick won last year
Scary to think how many Brownlows he may end up winning when his body maturesAnd yet he's only won a couple of Fadgelows.
Better get a move on. He'll be facing prime Reid in a couple years and Cody Walker will be joining the league around the same time.Scary to think how many Brownlows he may end up winning when his body matures
Four? Five?!
Meanwhile, he'll just have to settle for being the greatest player in history (according to the umps)
Reid will get suspended every year, multiple timesBetter get a move on. He'll be facing prime Reid in a couple years and Cody Walker will be joining the league around the same time.
Maybe 2nd best is just what Nicky is good for? Josh even won the BnF last year!
2026. Would be playing Rd 1 next year if he was allowed though, Nick Daicos type talent but also likes a hardball get.Reid will get suspended every year, multiple times
He's absolutely nuts out there, wants to KILL people
When's this generational Walker starting? Will he be as successful as his old man, with a bulging trophy cabinet?

My sources tell me he took at least one contested mark for Echuca Seniors this season also ...2026. Would be playing Rd 1 next year if he was allowed though, Nick Daicos type talent but also likes a hardball get.
You forgot his mark of the year award. Could well have been the mark of the decade for that absolute speccy over Jake Carlisle.Reid will get suspended every year, multiple times

Just watched some highlights, doesn't have that Daics creativity and explosion, decent though2026. Would be playing Rd 1 next year if he was allowed though, Nick Daicos type talent but also likes a hardball get.
Pretty amazing. He won the inaugural fadgelow and bookies have him on short odds to win the next 12. I do not think it'll ever be beaten. And yet he's only won a couple of Fadgelows.

Heeney was unreal this year.2023 Fadgelow Medallist - N. Daicos
2024 Fadgelow Medallist - I. Heeney
It really isn't that difficult to identify the best player across a full season (including finals) if you are able to watch games of football with an unbiased view.
Depends on the type of player, but had a crack at this a few months ago for Daics:Not sure what criteria qualifies a player as the GOAT but I guess amassing multiple individual honours would be a good start.
So how many Norm Smith’s, MVPs, AAs and B&F’s does one need to qualify? So far he has a coaches award, a rising star and 1 or 2 AA’s I think.
To me it's all about how you're perceived against your peers. We can't measure contribution to the team the way cricket can, but even with cricket, the context which the runs were scored is massiveNot sure what criteria qualifies a player as the GOAT but I guess amassing multiple individual honours would be a good start.

Damn, that’s a serious haul and any player who achieved all that or close to all that would definitely be the greatest.Depends on the type of player, but had a crack at this a few months ago for Daics:

In the same period, Cripps has averaged more votes per game than your boy. 96 votes in past 3 seasons to be exact.1.18 Brownlow votes per career game, a new world recordView attachment 2121777
Oh, Binary. Not sure what criteria qualifies a player as the GOAT but I guess amassing multiple individual honours would be a good start.

Yes it is because every year they change how they vote so you can’t compare era’s. Forwards & Rucks use to win them too but now it is a pure midfielders award.Oh, Binary.
Where amassing 38 votes in the Brownlow Medal but not winning it is considered a lesser year than someone who polls 21 votes in the Brownlow to win it...
Averaging 1.18 Brownlow votes per game throughout his career - more than 10% better than the second best player in the history of the game - let's start there...
1. So he received a single vote on a single game that wasn't vote worthy. Care to go back over the past two seasons and assess the games in which he received fewer votes than expected.Yes it is because every year they change how they vote so you can’t compare era’s. The Bont couldn’t even get votes since he spent too much time forward while Nick managed to get votes with 15 touches and subbed out with an injury.
The Brownlow is a terrible measure of a players worth. He can’t be the goat anyway, has a few glaring weaknesses that would never be attached to such a mantle. Goat Pies player is fine if you guys want to call him that.
1. There weren’t any, he’s an umpires pet.1. So he received a single vote on a single game that wasn't vote worthy. Care to go back over the past two seasons and assess the games in which he received fewer votes than expected.
2. Good to see you've drawn a conclusion on a player three years into their career. I'd love to know what you'd concluded about someone like GAJ at the same stage of his career...
