• Comben is not a 1 on 1 defender, and never will be. Took us 3 quarters to work out we were 1 short in defence.
• McKercher doesn’t do enough defensively, get him up the ground ffs.
• Larkey, such a selfish campaigner. Could have taken McGovern away from the contest all day but wouldn’t play a team role. Did the same vs Weitering a few weeks ago.
• Luke McDonald… just retire.
• Jy Simpkin, hand the captaincy in and reinvent yourself as a forward. Get out of that midfield.
• The transition from defence, is there a more boring team in footy?.

Was also very telling when Sheezel injured himself. He really is the heart, soul and brains of this unit of mindless zombies.

He is on a different level.

Defence, Chom ant at present the defender who instinctively punches like scooter and spud did subconsciously, and we paid in full with them having blokes like Darling, Alen, and Waterman who all are proven pack marking and generally good converters of the footy, puts Corr in the spotlight because he really isnt the number 1 defender and has to jump up the order, and LMAc, well he just had to have another LMAc day , was pretty much the source of ignition of the classic stupidity that consistantly costs us games, sadly cannot be part of the secret herbs and spices when we next compete. and could be as soon as next year if we can recruit to needs.

Midfield, pretty well smashed thanks the sheezel and X with cameos from Powell and a bit play from will, LDU was quiet but wasnt poor with usage and jy cracked in, them but then we peel forward and the same old bombs into 50, never to an advantage we can capitalise on, larkey never has ans will never be a waterman, allen, or a darling, and teakle is a part timer and pink a pinch hitting spare.

Forward, Simply cannot play Ford, Curtis and Zurhar in thre same team going forward, they all offer a bit of the same and not enough indifference and are all suseptable to failing clutches, mostly just blaze away wihout any poise. Bobby dazzler was good in the first half but hardly sighted in the 2nd, he aint a great crumber but he sadly is the beast we have, Teakle still has plenty of capacity to improve but iam not sold he is the answer, development wise Zane has at least 8kg to put on, and souva will only ever be an uber efficient 2nd banana, a rolls royse version of eric hipwood

had a couple of moments that were poor but on balance was above par, and probobly our best racehorse,

Sheezel, well not much to say really, him and kerch are the future and get wardlaw among them it doesnt even need to be said how good a group they will be with X.


emotianally was very pi$$ed of with the end however you could see it coming like a train, and without addressing the root causes we will be repeating it many times going forward, hate to say it but losses like this in dead rubbers are far better than being a pretender like * and continualy papering over the cracks only to fail when your got skin in the game, thisof course only the case if we address our shortcomings,

People are overreacting imo, yes, it was disappointing but it is what happens when you make a lot of poor defensive decisions and you have zero quality mature players.

They got back into the game on the back of their 30+ year old crew, it isn't really going to help them going forward, most of these players will be gone in a year or two and their next tier is miles off their quality.

Even in games where we have lost badly, I think our engine room has performed well, it is the connection we have going forward is the problem, LDU has no confidence to surge into F50 and kick goals himself. Had we not lost Thomas to him being a dickhead, we would have been at least a 5 goal better team most weeks because we fart arse around with the ball in the middle and the ball gets into the hands of people who shouldn't be kicking inside 50, because they lack the skills.

This is my main issue with Clarkson's coaching, he has improved our ability to hold onto the ball instead of just turning it over with long kicks, but the system is still flawed when it comes to orchestrating a system of getting the ball into the hands of players who can kick and hit targets... like Collingwood does with Nick Daicos for example, they possess the ball, guard some space and allow him to get some separation then give him the ball. We don't do this with Sheezel, he has to pretty much get his own ball.

Over the pre-season we need to really work on improving the system. We win enough of the ball from stoppages, we just don't have a good system moving forward.

He absolutely isn’t mate. At best defensively he’s a 3rd tall that can drop off when his opponent pushes up. He has been exposed when asked to play on opposition key forwards. Go back and watch the Allen mark in the 3rd where he refuses to stay on him. He is absolutely not a 1 on 1 defender.
