The Dees second quarter was brilliant, some of the best footy I've seen in the AFLW, but the second half was ours and we should have won, but the umpires played such a huge part in the final result, that 50m penalty to Paxman in the third was especially terrible.

That was disgraceful umpiring stopped our momentum as we were about to overrun them

our talls are not that good
Hardiman is average
Saad is new to the game
Emma king doesn’t dominate as she should with her height and skill
KGJ gets to the wrong spots

our only decent tall is Randall down back

Umpires wearing Melbourne jumpers all night.

The 50 metre penalty wasn’t there. However, Kearney got a similar gift. We need to watch our slightly high tackles, though. It cost us the match. Having said that, we didn’t get the rub of the green from the umpires tonight, no doubt. In the end, home ground advantage decided it. I’d back us to beat them at the pointy end - if we make it.

I think KGJ is one player that Crocks needs to look at, she constantly fumbles, she is slow and is always out of position.

Just a ripping contest. Loved our fight in the second half but you don’t concede 6 goals in a quarter in AFLW and expect to win.

We should take a massive lesson from that game that sets us up for the rest of the season.

If they were there they should have been called both ways. The Dees got a number of HTB frees when players dropped the ball but Dees were aloud to break tackles and get tackled again without getting called.

I thought Mia King was okay, not the best but was in and under at every contest and got a few balls out to her team mates, and she tackled hard. I agree about KGJ, I think the speed of the game has past her by.

Put me in the umpires influenced result camp, i don't care what the actual numbers were, my eyes do not deceive me.

What is it about our tackling ? i reckon if we lay 20, at least 8-9 penalised for too high or too vigorous, maybe 1 rewarded, and the rest blatantly ignored, it aint purely bad technique every time.
