No non-Vic team has defeated a Vic team in the Grand Final without list or salary cap concessions

I love how richmond supporters defend the venue for the gf......but sooked so much about wearing their away guernsey. Haooy to let the big stuff slide by that helps them but will cry about a top.
Either way the vfl wont change it.....just gotta keep trying to beat them and celebrate if two non vic teams make the gf and we have to listen to the vic media complain it doesnt feel the same.
That's not our away geurnsey. It's our premiership guernsey. And I agree that it was a big pile of sooking as well from high profile Richmond supporters at the time, notably KB and Caroline Wilson.

The travel across the Nullarbor is a factor. But Melbourne has got too big in the last decade and travel is a real pain now just to get around a city of 5 million every day.
Worse for fans especially night games.
So it’s hard to compare ‘apples and oranges’. We have to travel in different ways.
I have often thought that WCE and Freo should do at least 3 road trips a year. Play in Melbourne say on a Sunday have a 5 to 6 day break and then play again. A great bonding concentration type of week. Takes 10trips across the Nullarbor to 7.
Personally I would be happy to see GF go to Adelaide or Perth for sure. We (Bulldogs) have no home ground advantage at the MCG, not many MCC or AFL members are Bulldogs fans. Or corporates either, compared with the ‘big end of town’ teams. We get two away games there a year, if we’re lucky, and no Public Holiday games ever. Big get bigger scenario.

It’s the one we get all the free kicks in.

Richmond's made the Grand Final once in the afl era. This is nothing Richmond-specific at all and hence not personal. You are all just coming across as a bunch of whiny sooks. You claim bias when it suits you but refuse to accept the bias that exists in getting you there in the first place. You cannot claim bias in the first instance without accepting it in the second instance and not come across as anything other than a bunch of sooks. Take finals and both of our teams out of it - is Fremantle a genuine 8 win team this year? Or did they get a massive hand up by the fact that they get a home state advantage every second week during the season?
I never once said other teams don't face levels of bias that isn't lost on me, your mistake is just assuming that's the case. Look at my most recent posts, I had quite a nice exchange with another Richmond supporter who didn't just resort to labels and cliche choke talk. See that's the difference, there are those who can have a mature exchange and those that need to make it personal.

My argument is and always has been Get Over It. Quit your sooking and just move on. West Coast clearly have - they have invested their money into a ground that are the same dimensions so they are prepared and ready for Grand Finals at the G. You guys could've done that as well instead of investing in Adelaide Oval. Even Trevor Nesbitt agrees (quoted from Caro's article in The Age on Friday about Don Pyke having a sook to the coaches association after last year's GF): ‘‘It’s the only 100,000-seat stadium we’ve got,’’ he said, ‘‘and everybody knows to win the premiership you’ve got to come and win that last game at the MCG. ‘‘It’s one brutal two hours of football and that’s our great tradition.’’
To be fair west coast fans think hes an out of touch dick and are raging about his comments.

I can see the dogs playing ao better than the g

West Coast finished top 2 with playing last years Premiers once and at their home ground.
Geelong had to play the Premiers twice at Richmond’s Home ground.
This earnt finals business is inherently dodgy and why its all debatable.
We beat two top 4 teams at their
Home ground and another top 8 team.

How many seasons does it take richmond to achieve that?

7? 8?

We dont win those games against the top 8 at their home grounds we come 8th.

Well Richmond won 3 games against top 4 opponents at their home ground in 2018.

In our premiership year we beat 3 top 8 sides at their home ground.

Easy draw .. inflated ladder position...able to rest up during finals. Something needs to be done about interstate teams being mollycoddled to premierships. What is it now 9 to 8 to interstate teams and some very ordinary ones in those grand finals.

What can be deducted from this is that the Eagles are salary cap cheats. Investigate!

They won 3 on the juice although 2 of those apparently don’t count as proper premierships because they had list or salary cap concessions.
So knowing how the Eagles operate let’s keep our fingers that this one legit for the sake of football.

We only enjoy that hga if we win enough away games - to come top 2 this year we had to win 7 away games including two other top 4 teams.

How many years does it take richmond to win 7 away games?

Come 1,2, 5, 6 and we play at home

Come 3,4,7,8 and we fly interstate for finals

As usual you vics only see the benefit - never the downside
you have posted more posts on this topic more than anyone....and you are the most vocal on this subject about this...

Ironic..... as you bitched and moaned about this, your mob beat a Victorian team in the GF....

Big footy Bastardization at its very best.

Red: Subiaco Oval
Green: MCG
Orange: Optus Stadium

This is a little diagram that was on the channel 7 grand final pre match show,
and backs up why they have played great footy on the MCG this year. With the new Optus Stadium being 5 meters bigger then the MCG
Now they don't have to adjust their playing style, unlike when they played at the longer and narrower
subiaco Oval.

Lol that diagram is not correct, whoever created it should be fired.
MCG is 5m shorter but 11m wider than Perth stadium. Subi was about 15m longer and 20m narrower than MCG.
