They have an easy runCarlton brought good pressure but now Cerra has done a hammy, they aren’t doing anything. Also Cripps the dirty dog again, won’t get suspended though.
Fair enough though. They've won their last five on the trot and have just comprehensively outplayed the flag favourites five games out from the finals. A side that beat us comfortably a few weeks back. It's started already View attachment 1758098
Your definition of comprehensive and comfortably seem to be a fair way off.Fair enough though. They've won their last five on the trot and have just comprehensively outplayed the flag favourites five games out from the finals. A side that beat us comfortably a few weeks back.
Well I didn't say it was a smashing. Collingwood controlled the game after half time and led by 6 goals early in the final quarter. They eased up a bit when the game was won. That's quite comfortable in my view.Your definition of comprehensive and comfortably seem to be a fair way off.
Collingwood won many indicators and with better kicking probably win ... despite pathetic umpiring giving Curnow 5 goals.
Dogs lost by 2 goals. A smashing there.
$12 nowCarlton have a great top end list, they might have bottom six issues (like many of us have) but it’s difficult to argue against Curnow, Weitering, Cripps, Walsh and a few others. They also have good half backs who attack and dispose of the ball well, and some small forwards who can impact the game.
For that reason I agree with those who say they’re a risk of winning the flag from outside the top four. I don’t think they will, but could they win an EF, beat Port or Brisbane and then knock off Melbourne/Pies? Yes, unlikely but they have the tools to do it.
I don’t think they should be as low as $15 bucks to do so, but it’s not out with the realms of possibility.
They brought very good pressure and had a very even contribution across the ground which is what you want from your players and team. And Moore and Murphy haven't been done like that since Marra and Naughts got hold of them. I think Curnow is deserving of superstar status.Fair enough though. They've won their last five on the trot and have just comprehensively outplayed the flag favourites five games out from the finals. A side that beat us comfortably a few weeks back.
The same weaknesses will always be there as he simply can’t change them. It’s not as big a deal at the Pies because he’s surrounded by pace in the front half.I think Lipinski is, at best, the sub. Although with his lack of leg speed he may not be suited to this role. He has been awful tonight.
Reminding everyone that he broke his arm.Yeah, but what’s the sleeve doing?
Grabbing the jumper like he is a 3rd generation player of the club too. All the carry on is to divert attention that he is on the verge of being delisted.Matt Owies right up there with Kosi Pickett in the biggest flogs in the game stakes.
The absolute carry on to opponents after they kick goals is ridiculous. 99% of the time when they aren't looking either
They do it for the TV cameras. I bet with no TV they wouldn't do itGrabbing the jumper like he is a 3rd generation player of the club too. All the carry on is to divert attention that he is on the verge of being delisted.
Matt Preston lifelong footy fan!?Just heard Matt Preston on ABC say, ''football is better when we've got a strong Carlton and Essendon''.
I beg to differ.
Matt Preston is a Collingwood supporter.Matt Preston lifelong footy fan!?
Don't mind him, but stopped listening once Katherine Murphy became more prominent. Is there a sports presenter in the country with less footy knowledge who constantly tries to imply she knows something about the game - as she makes yet another inane and ignorant reference to an aspect of it.
Surely there is a retired AFLW player who could fill that gig, at least for the footy part of it.
