Superstar Ronaldo turns down an offer to earn ~$4M (AUS) per week to play for a Saudi Club.

Not a typo, $ 4 MILLION a week.....

Sobering.
I'm not positive of the maths but at $200,000,000 per year he will earn a similar amount to all 800 AFL players combined.

BTW, anyone know the AFL salary cap ATM?

Good on him for saying no to blood money. Unlike Greg Norman and other golfers

Ronaldo with a family and young kids and worth $500m he can make any choice he wants really.

His son appears to be following in his father's footsteps. 11yrs old playing for Man U juniors.

Now thats a True Father- Son draft pick lol worth its weight in gold.

Salary Cap per Club is ~$13.54 million in 2022.

Total is ~quarter billion.

Ronaldo could fund all the AFL Clubs lol.

Sorry to intrude but worth a comment.
A mate I work with here in the UAE has his family back in UK still. His son plays juniors for Man U as a keeper. He’s 15.
Anyway young Ronaldo apparently is quite good too. Competes with the older kids and does well.
Supposedly confident but not arrogant at all.
Man U are keen for Ronaldo to stay as it makes it easier to keep the son in their system.

It's like lawyers, NYC is the Mecca where all the big business and contracts all the white collar high paying clients are the chance to enhance your own wealth is far greater there.

In this scenario, NYC is Melbourne, Boston is Perth and Adelaide is Chicago

Yeah Chicago has some good stuff and a couple will be on big money but at the lower associate level, if an offer to join a NYC law firm came to me I ain't staying in Chicago.

Kirkland & Ellis the biggest and highest earning law firm in America, the best of the best, is a Chicago based law firm.

They are the highest earning firm on Wall Street, but they are a Chicago firm

I do not think North will trade JHF this year, no matter how petulant he gets. They passed up a huge offer to get him last year from us and even though I think pick 3 plus Crouch is a good offer, North would want to see whether the new coach could get him on board. Their hand gets diminished if he gets to the end of next year and still wants out but you have to back yourself in to turn him around.

Depends what he says to them

Well the GWS flogging at home appears to be a common occurrence now.

All the results in the 41-50 were away from home so not totally unexpected and all against finals contenders.

Welcome to the Board. No need to apologize for the intrusion, all is welcomed on here. :thumbsu:

Im sure ManU are salivating at the prospect of getting another younger version of Ronaldo at their Club, the money that will be generated through that alone, will be worth his price.

Yes the kid has talent too which is the most important criteria. He is very marketable. Ronaldo is a billion dollar generator for any Club potentially.

Lets also respect the fact that his father aside from being a GOAT (right up there), he is an excellent role model for his son to live up to as well, how many megastars we have seen go off the rails completely. The kid is fairly humble from what little I have seen too, which will hold in good stead.

Yeah. He definitely took the high road.

Its not like he signed a 1 billion dollar deal with a company that uses sweat shops to make their products.

A bit like LeBron going out of his way to avoid discussing China in anyway possible....

Chads brother spent a whole segment on Sunday potting us for not being hard enough on baby Daicos.

Crickets from him on Melbournes training run against port and Pickett and Petracca not even breaking a sweat in dominating that game.

Laird had 20 tackles. Port had 36. Can’t find on Google whether that’s a season low but wouldn’t be far off.

On Channel 9 news he had a crack at Port for not manning up on Pickett. “I had a go at the Crows on Daicos and Port did the same”. He then showed examples of them not manning up and we deserve shit for not stopping Daicos.

Fair enough, missed that. Nothing on his Twitter, just doubling down on his Daicos comments.
