My prediction is Clarkson will fail at North because they are a much worse run club than Hawthorn with a far inferior list than when he started at the Hawks

It is interesting, there are very few coaches since the AFL commenced in the last 30 years who have been very successful at one club and moved successfully to another club.

The only one that comes to mind is Leigh Matthews. Successful at both Collingwood and Brisbane.

Dennis Pagan was successful at North but crap at Carlton. Malthouse was successful at West Coast and had some success with Collingwood but being at Collingwood with all its backing (money, rigged fixture etc) it should be a given in at any rate.

Clarkson is going to a minnow Melbourne club so it will be interesting.

So, who is going to play North Melbourne in the first round next year. I’d suggest Hawthorn.

Don’t think so. North seem more stable off field now. Essendon are a rabble. I would steer well clear with Sheedy and Hird hanging around.
