As always, just the AFL using the media to manufacture interest.
Nothing has come from the clubs/list managers to say the deal(s) won't get across the line in some form.
Having said that, no doubt some club officials are feeding their favourite journos some info in the hope of stroking their own egos when a deal goes in their favour.

Ah yes. The media would know.
The problem with the whole issue is people in Tredrea's position forget they had a choice. Its always been a choice. The terms and conditions of his job changed and he had the choice to abide by those or seek new employment. A lot of jobs over the course of a long term tenure have different terms and conditions, policies and procedures come and go that determine employment if you fail to abide by them.
Twomey absolutely would know.

Had my first run in with a bonafide port floggo today at work.
Knew he was a port supporter from his car, and i'm walking in front of him in the office, and he literally jumps into a tirade about the crows being jealous of port getting JHF (this is to my back), and that Rankine is a ******** and he knows him from junior footy, before saying "you're a crows supporter aren't you, I can just tell by looking at you".
Then literally spends 5 mins saying how shit we are still because we beat North and WC twice, and even then we struggled, and that the showdown was a fluke and our best players are Sloane and Walker and they'll be gone end of next year.
I literally said nothing to the guy to start any conversation initially.
When he finally left I was like
