If I remember correctly, I came here after the official Crows chat forum on their website closed. I think Matthew Robran was the moderator back then, but I think it became time consuming, so they closed it. Big Footy was the only footy forum around at that time, and it was fairly quiet back then.
I presume Bigfooty back in the 2000s was a very different beast than what is today?

When do you think was the best time on Bigfooty for you, in terms of enjoyment?

According to Caro - I think she claimed to be passing on info from her conversation with Mali - there might be 6 games at AO, and possibly a game at somewhere like Angaston(?!) - which actually might work, given some of the games would not necessarily be big crowd-pullers.

I think the Crows and Port have to play away from Adelaide Oval as no one can have a home game so I think they would leave 7 for Adelaide Oval?

It's hard to say, as my memory's a bit hazy. I did enjoy it in the beginning, but haven't always been a keen follower of the site. I enjoy it most when there's a bit of excitement around the Crows, i.e. when Walsh was appointed, when Sando was sacked, and after the Crows beat Geelong in the prelim final in 2017.

Was working with my uncle and we loved talking s**t about footy. One day he discovered BF and told me about it, and that was it.

I've been mainly a lurker for the last 17 years, with the odd contribution.

BF used to be the place to come for AFL rumours and pre-season info etc., before the AFL Media became a shitshow.
Yeah I'm member 3759 joined in 2002.

I was working overseas a lot in Africa and the South Pacific, and my home base in Australia has been Perth since the mid 90's. All three places didn't have much by way of Crows news back then :p. Big Footy had some great contributors who gave reports, inside stories and rumours, attended training etc.

I also used to stream 5AA game broadcasts when I lived in Uganda. One day they asked if listeners from around the world would dial in, so I called them from Kampala after a game and spoke with Rowey. Stiffy_18 who was a great member (see above comments) gave me a shout out on the forum as he'd listened to the broadcast.

I remember the Crows chat forum! I was on that too but didn't join BigFooty until early 2002.

You could combine Saints and North - coaching, admin, lists - and they’d still finish bottom

And what with having David Noble as part of the review team for the Saints? Recognition that while he can’t coach he understands admin and management? Ok but - if he could see what was wrong with a club, why didn’t he do it at North?

Up until a few months ago, Norwood would've been the logical choice.

But they've been stripped of 2 AFLW matches (plus an AFLW trial) in recent months. Not sure if the AFL will be willing to look on them favourably for a little while.
I've said it before, I'll say it again
Unless you're a Norwood member and have access to the Western Stand, it is the worst ground in the league.
