Back to the 2017 GF, I attended, have never watched one second of it since and intend to die having kept that intact.
Turned the 17 GF off at half time .....haven't seen any of the game & I refuse to ever watch it

Likewise, turned the 2022 GF off at QT .....just couldn't bear to watch Dangerfield win a GF ....after IMO, costing us a GF win .....no animosity to the bloke at all, just how I feel

I've been able to blank out the 2017 GF now, but I can't blank out Meatloaf and 2012 when we should have played Sydney in the GF if not robbed in the prelim hand over fist.

What the deal with Melbourne handing all their members personal information to someone so they could write a letter to all members?

Seem to have a lot of people up in arms about it

Just on the potential magic round it sounds like listening to Rucci this morning the way around us and Port not having a 'home ground advantage' is for them to play each other.

I don't really it get though as there won't be three showdowns so I presume one club still has it classified as a home game for ticketing.

He seems to think 9 games at Adelaide Oval is the way they would go.

The AFL would've stripped us of the 2012 flag had we won it given the Tippett scandal.

They were legally required to by the corporations Act. They didn't want to because the person requesting is campaigning against their constitutional changes and wanted to communicate with the members about that.

I would rather not see Robbo.

There are times on VFL 360, he rocks up looking half drunk from a bender.
I'd say fully drunk mid-bender

I have no animosity towards the selfish campaigner either

Agreed. I have only one vivid memory of that day....

During the third quarter (I think), when Lynch kicked a goal, there was an agonised, hoarse, sobbing scream from the area where I was sitting...

"COME ON!!! IT'S NOT OVER!!!!"

I don't know who it was :$

I can't even watch the Prelim anymore. *, we were good that night, but I can't bring myself back to it knowing how it went so wrong the next week.

This is what makes the following week so shattering.

We were primed, playing amazing footy and should have won the GF based on the week prior, but the team couldn't replicate the form of the previous two games.

That's footy, I guess.

Credit to Richmond, they brought a gameplan that threw ours on it's head and we couldn't adjust.

My position on this is well documented over a couple of years ......when the AFL started getting involved with social causes, I warned that once you open these gates & associate Football with politics, you don't get to handpick the causes you'll champion

OK ...the AFL decide to support causes, worthwhile causes .....because it clouds their monumental support for the gambling $

The Players will now start to associate the causes they want actioned .....and use the sport, nay, hold the sport to ransom ....until they get the AFL to support

Of course zero mention of gambling ......but the recent rejection by the bankrupt diamonds, of sponsorship $$, shows where this is heading .....strap yourself in

Once you open Pandoras Box .....there's no closing the lid again .....very foolish by the AFL

If you go through the list of sponsors you could argue that half or more should be disassociated: alcohol, gambling, sugar drinks/fastfood, climate change, bank that got smashed at the Royal Commission.

The problem is that it is precisely the businesses that need to "sportswash" that see the value in doing so. Those that don't need to will be far less likely to write large cheques.

What do the finances look like then? Are the players all happy to trim back wages to make it work?
