This should have been underperforming All-Australian ruckman Tim English’s statement game. Port Adelaide ruckman Jordon Sweet spent the previous four seasons playing exclusively second fiddle to English as teammates at the kennel.

Instead, it was yet another sour day for one of the few remaining restricted free agents. Curiously, English started forward as Sam Darcy went up against Sweet at the opening centre bounce. Sweet’s tap to Ollie Wines to set up a forward 50m stoppage goal to the Brownlow Medallist looked more like Polly Farmer than a player who eked out just 11 out of a possible 63 games as a Bulldog.

Our remaining games are: Swans, Carlton (no chance), Geelong (hobart-low chance), Richmond (good chance), Eagles (hobart-good chance), Bulldogs and Hawthorn (hard to predict teams).

That should put us on 16 to 20 points, maybe a bit more depending on how good/bad Geelong, Dogs and Hawks are going. I think that would put us 3rd last, Saints still have games against Richmond and West Coast as well.

English ruck work sounds like bailey williams in getting flogged every week .

At least English can run around the ground picking up possessions and kicks goals .

Barnett seems to have gone backwards this year . First year cat B rookie Coen Livingstone seems to be a better ruck already
