It's not an idea that means anything in a vacuum.

Best bet would be to stack factors that make winning unlikely - disparity in breaks, playing significantly away, in game injuries, superior opposition. Those are the hardest games, regardless of when they occur.

But of course if they're just some easily forgotten fixture they won't be so readily brought up.

It's weird, I don't think I've ever heard a player say pressure and intensity doesn't go up a notch in finals.
