However, their flag teammate Josh Caddy has suffered another hamstring setback in his bid to win his spot back, with tightness to rule him out for at least one week.

When they say Caddy will miss one week, is that one week as in previous seasons which really means one game, is it a legitimate one week which would include our game also meaning 2 games?

Surely cheaper than Cameron...

Certainly. But nothing like the player, either.

Would be passing on this possibility, as he still wouldn't be coming as anything like a bargain.

In my view, if you're going to have to pay up big time, at least make sure it is for one of the very best going around.

It doesnt even sound like anyone at the Pies has even spoken to him. He is just 'riffing' But, if theyre paying Mason Cox $550k per year, this guy might get himself a 5 year $7million contract.
Hope so. He deserves it. Lucky Collingwood. Fingers Crossed it comes to fruition.

Pretty Bold statement mate !!!- dont let the actual facts get in the way of a good story though

This season Geelong have only been comprehensively outplayed in the one game - and that was the Magpies at Optus - and i think most reasonable unbiased viewers of that game would suggest that the Magpies should have been 5 or 6 goals in front at h/time - they totally outplayed Geel - with their fast slick ball movement - and Geel had no answer to that

I think there are 3 obvious proven teams in the finals ( re possible opponents for Geel ) namely Rich W/C and Coll - so id rather the Cats to play the suspect lightweights like Bris Port StK etc

Well, we lost Selwood in the warmup and Clarke did his shoulder during the game. We had no Stanley either. It was a bit of a funny game, certainly not our best foot forward. That was also a long time ago, compared to current form.

If you recall, we comprehensively beat Richmond in our home and away game last year, and they just turned it on in the final last year and beat us.

Random question: has any club ever sacked a coach at the end of a season in which their team played finals?
1980 Tony Jewell coached Tigers to an emphatic 81 point win over Pies.
One season later SACKED.
