Probably mentioned it in a thread years ago, but Robbie Flower was/is my favourite non-Cats footy star. There was one of those school holiday footy clinics the VFL used to run along the old railway yards outside the MCG. Each team had hundreds of kids, except us. We topped maybe a dozen. So few, the player in charge of us - a very young Mark Yeates - took his ciggies and walked off. Flower saw what happened and ran over, taking us for a run and drills, kick-to-kick...signed gear, the whole thing. I think half the group probably saw their first Premiership last year.

Loved Flower as well. But CP is almost a family friend, and a very special player as well.
Used to look forwardto the MCG duels between Flower and Turner. Amazing.

yep it looked like Adl was playing them into some form for a while there.

Looked to me that WCE may have turned a small corner in the second half. They may have won 2 quarters. That shocking first Q cost them big time.
You can bet they'll come out ready to go against us in 2weeks. Really hope we prepare for them as if they are a great team in WA, not the easybeats they have been.
And they'll be getting back some real quality players x 5-6 for us. We can only hope they are not in sync. NN, Yeo, Allen, Ryan, Rioli, Sheed- they will be a lot stronger on paper at least

I recall a really good mate who followed Essendon, and in 85, he said he woukdn't go to boring h & a games, but just knew they'd be in the GF. Amazingly dominant team in 84 and moreso in 85.

the funny thing about Brown, from his days at GFC through EFC, I never saw him kick on the run. Always one step kicks from marks.
