WTF were Essendon doing when Harrison Jones was taking the set shot? You have to operate on the assumption that he'll miss and set up your defensive structures accordingly. They left the entire wing essentially unguarded. How is that even possible? I want to see behind the goals vision on that.
Your used to watching a very well coached side in geelong. Welcome to watching a terribly coached side perform

Forget the Round 3 result. In our form, I'd be confident of taking them down even with our first week of final wobbles over Melbourne or Sydney (maybe even Brisbane) even playing the "home" final against them.

With plenty of time to run out and get the message out that there's under a minute left, surely you set a deep zone and give away any kick inside 50. Make them work through the zone rather than 2 kicks and free out the back

They will get found out but I don’t want a repeat of 2019.

I don't think that would happen... but hell, even if it did, I'd be confident this team could pull it back. Only fell 11 points short in that QF despite them kicking the first 4 goals.

I bet it does when he had the wife, kid, couple on the way, and was only playing local footy :)

He had the money AND an awesome career.

He blew his career up to chase the money AND a happy partner.

Hopefully it's working out for him. But I have no doubt that - even though he may never admit it - in his most private moments he'll have a twinge of regret that he went from one of THE players to just a soldier.

What could've been........

My first thought too. They could have set up a zone starting at their own 50 line and be able to quickly shut down the kick in whichever way it went. Guess they were rooted, but jeez.

Very small victories against bottom 6 teams. They are bog average and will get exposed against any decent team
Pies at the G in a home final for them...could be easier prospects

We want Collingwood in top 4. Much better than having Sydney in top 4.

Nope, don't want Collingwood at their home ground with 90000 feral Pies supporters creating an insane atmosphere ala the 2017 "Home" QF vs Richmond. I'm done with our "reward" for finishing at the top being a home final against an MCG tenant. I'd rather face a slightly harder team but with more of a genuine home ground advantage.

how so?
If ladder spots remain as they are, you'd like us to play Pies week 1 finals?
At the G?
After a bye.
They are worse than in 2019 when we beat them, and we are better.

We're playing well at the G and facing Melbourne there is a likely requirement to winning a premiership.

Sydney, Freo and Brisbane are no mugs either. We will face a good team either way.

9 consecutive wins, just like us.
We are apparently the real deal.
7 against the bottom 8, most by a kick and very lucky to achieve that.

Check out the stats from the Essendon game, they basically lost every stat and won due to Essendons inability to put them away.
