Clarko's silence is becoming concerning.

You know my thoughts on CS - a failure between 2015 and 2019. Scott has been a success again since 2020 because he makes grand finals.Nonsense. both have 0 flags and Fagan's lions have 2-3 losses in finals by less than a kick. Things could easily be different.
There's more to success than simply making grand finals - just because a team doesn't make the grand final or win the premiership, it doesn't mean that their season was a failureYou know my thoughts on CS - a failure between 2015 and 2019. Are you actually surprised that I think even less of Fagan as a coach?

Lyon was 13 (7 when the siren sounded), 1 & 16 points away from winning flags. If things could have been different for Fagan, it also wouldn't have taken much for Lyon to be a multiple premiership winning coachNonsense. both have 0 flags and Fagan's lions have 2-3 losses in finals by less than a kick. Fagan has stood down to "assist investigations".
Starting to sound like it all starts and revolves around Clarkson.
and yet there's nothing between them. Both flagless coaches who have had near misses in finals.Lyon was 13 (7 when the siren sounded), 1 & 16 points away from winning flags. Great example is Freo and Coll who would both consider this season a major successThere's more to success than simply making grand finals - just because a team doesn't make the grand final or win the premiership, it doesn't mean that their season was a failure
Thats what I thought. I assumed there was a context/familiarity/obnoxiousness/understanding issue between both parties. But now, I can see it was the straw that broke the camels back.It is like something from 100 years ago, how it could happen in a modern football club is staggering.
I didn't really follow the fallout from the Kennett/Rioli stuff beyond the headlines. Kennett's comments about her jeans or whatever were poor but this gives a whole new level of context to it.
You'd bet anything there would be AFL accredited journos who knew a lot more about this stuff at the time, but like the doping saga, it has to be someone with their nose not in the trough to break it.

Curious to see if they have been sitting on plan a) b) and c) and just waiting to see if it was released. One would've thought he'd be on the front foot strenuously denying the allegations.
He knew they were coming, so he can't claim to have been 'blindsided' like Fagan did.
A white lie by him already.
So, I'm quite shocked about this all. I couldn't imagine that Fagan would do this, but then again, I only know him from his press conferences.Fagan has stood down to "assist investigations".

I'm sure they've all already had legal advice.
Maybe Clarkson is taking the hit and is just finalising his exit OR maybe its every man for themselves.
That we know of. Very hard to go the crow on this.Bloody hell isn't it nice supporting a club that's never at the centre of scandals involving racism, criminals, bikies, supplements etc?
Thank you for saying this. we have no idea what things have been said by coaches or members of our club - and what has been accepted at the time by one player and they have lived with it comfortably, and what has been accepted at the time by another player and they have forever been torn up by it.That we know of. Very hard to go the crow on this.
We could find out years from now that we were committing atrocious acts of similar or even completely different nature to stay competitive.
I can't even enjoy the build up to a Grand Final today after this. So much bigger than a game of footy.
Unfortunately we can’t just assume that to be true. This time yesterday hawthorn fans would have been forgiven for thinking exactly the same thing about their club.Bloody hell isn't it nice supporting a club that's never at the centre of scandals involving racism, criminals, bikies, supplements etc?
Just imagine for a moment this report came out about Geelong and how you would feel knowing that men you have admired, respected, and even loved have done such terrible things. That's why I think we should all have some empathy for Hawks fans today. This is bigger than our tribal dislike of each other.
I also think that footy fans have come to realise that the next big scandal is just around the corner and that their club (whoever that club is) is just as likely as any other to be the next one in the gun.100%, and something I've enjoyed NOT seeing is people either here or elsewhere, using this as fuel to give s**t to Hawks fans.
This goes above team vs team rivalry
