Maybe! But Gillon has said the investigation will be fully confidential.
This is a scandal that will make international news.

The AFL had better appoint a seriously well credentialed person with an impeccable reputation to lead the investigation. Ex-players or administrators should not be considered. Plus, give that person the power of a Royal Commissioner so they can call on CEOs/Presidents of any club for questioning. The AFL has been here before and did its best to whitewash (yes, Whitewash) the problem away. This time in must be fair dinkum in addressing these issues.

Already has, it was on the BBC Nes site this morning.

Absolutely spot on
It is like something from 100 years ago, how it could happen in a modern football club is staggering.

I didn't really follow the fallout from the Kennett/Rioli stuff beyond the headlines. Kennett's comments about her jeans or whatever were poor but this gives a whole new level of context to it.

You'd bet anything there would be AFL accredited journos who knew a lot more about this stuff at the time, but like the doping saga, it has to be someone with their nose not in the trough to break it.
Absolutely spot on mate.

Days like today are particularly difficult, if you need a break, need a chat or help them please reach out, we are all here to help each other as a community

Personally, I found the article a devastating read and was sickened by the revelations that were shared within it, and understand that it may be triggering for others

And don't forget that your can also reach out to support service like Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or Lifeline on 13 11 14 at any time

Thank you to you all for how you have conducted yourselves across today with the sensitivity shown across this issue, and please take care of yourselves.

What an absolute mess. Initially I was (on reading headlines) quite happy the hawks were copping some negative press. Then I read the story. Imagine how we would feel if it was Geelong being accused of this.

no one should be using it as ammo to abuse their supporters.

Hopefully a thorough investigation is completed and penalties meted out as appropriate - if it is proven beyond reasonable doubt

We need an urgent enquiry to the Geelong football club as well
While you should always ask, "Am I doing good? ", I believe we have the right governance structures that identifies transgressions, then we should be able to sleep relatively easily. This was an extraordinary allegation that transcends race, but seemingly occurred because of race. We haven't always been good, we know we failed Ezra Bray, as cats_09 mentioned below, and that was the catalyst for us to review how we support indigenous players.
We've found ourselves in situations that we didn't handle well at the time, but where it appears we learnt from our mishandling of things and used that to improve in the future - such as with Ezra Bray
At this time, it is really worth reading this article again

I've only ever heard really good things about our indigenous programs since they were initiated after what happened to Ezra Bray

So either the report is wildly inaccurate due to extensive lies by those making the allegations, or Clarkson is lying through his teeth.

Going to be hard for the AFL to discern the absolute truth here. One word against another, unless either party can furnish concrete evidence of some sort.
I think everyone should step back and wait for the independent investigation to be completed before jumping to conclusions. So far we have only heard one side of the story and people are already hanging the accused as if they are guilty.

I think this is going to get into very murky waters around what constitutes player welfare and what is seen as overstepping the mark.

My fear is with this investigation it is almost inevitable the names of the accusers comes out which would be horrible for them to relive.
Sadly I have already seen a few suggestions on who the players were, people who are Hawk fans I know didn't take long to suss out who some of them were.
