That is not great. The whole branding from the name Suns down sucks.
Personally I dont think every club in Queensland should use the same general red/maroon and yellow colour scheme. Really should be designed to look different from your local rival.

They should have went with the Gold Coast Sharks at the beginning OR the White Socks.
Better yet Gold Coast Kangaroos with blue and white as their colours.
The Gold Coast Demonic, Kangaroo Dogs has a nice ring to it.

I'm surprised how much I like it, actually. Was not expecting to, but the more I look at it the more I'm a fan. Will wait to see it on a guernsey before being fully sold though, but it does feel much more like a serious football club logo than what they've had so far.

The strip being mostly red will have people divided. That being sticking to the lifesaver colors.
The logo is not too bad.

I like it too.
I've just never understood why they brought a second team into the QLD market and gave them 2/3 of the same colours.

It's a tricky one, but I'm not sure what other colours would have worked well for a Gold Coast based team. It will make the clash a nightmare for the first QClash Grand Final in 2025 though.
I assume that’s what they went with because it’s a great metaphor for how the sun sets on GC’s finals chances, about 2/3rds the way through every season.

It's better than what they had anyway. At the risk of being uncynical, I'm not sure I understand the line of thinking that if something isn't the absolute best thing in the history of graphic design then whatever shitty is in place should be kept.
I would question the need for a logo on the guernsey at all (allowing for the fact we have one). Just design a good footy jumper without it.

Just end the charade and commence the cull of Victorian teams and do everyone a favour so the number of clubs doesn't keep swelling and left with more irrelevant clubs that will only continue exist to serve the big Vic clubs. The player pool is shallow enough as it is and seriously, in whose interests is it for North to play anyone else and a near empty Optus Stadium? Its not like North has any meaningful support in Perth or Freo and West Coast fans are going to go along and watch this rubbish.
You can't just toss a club out because of a few years of poor form. NMFC deserve every opportunity to forge their own path.
And Fitzroy or the Bears weren't?
Financially, they need to find avenues to generate revenue. It's sad for their fans that they have to sell games interstate, but they took a stand against generating revenue from gambling several years back.
